:) I like it! Very calming. I'm really digging the music. The sfx are nice. The graphics are good! The gameplay feels like it needs something more to keep me motivated. But nice game!

Thanks for the review, and yes I agree theres not much gameplay to it. Wish I added more outcomes to it and better color mixing system, and maybe like Time-attack mode.
Pretty nice idea of mixing) Howewer, i did not fully catch the main goal of game(
At some point everything blow with white light, was that the end?)
Interesting little sandbox, would love to see a fully fleshed out version in the future :D Maybe add some gameplay element such as pouring the ingredients in yourself/more combos & outcomes with some form of goal. But overall, cute game.
nice mood, strong theme representation
Congratulations on completion~ The animation effect is quite good, but it does lack gameplay content.
@vladlawrence Yes that was the "end" when everything blew up. Is true like most comments say, my game was lacking a goal, I might update it in the future and maybe publish it for android. But for now I am not sure if I have the idea of what the goal should be.
@eretol Thanks, glad you liked it
@cloudlunar I agree, that was my mistake not focusing on adding more gameplay, I might update it in the future where the game will have objectives and different outcomes
@becky-rayner yes might do this and probably upload it for android, since I think this fits really good as a mobile game
Im excited to check all of your games after I get back from work
It reminds me old games. Nice music but sounds of pouring is too loud. Also, I have no idea what I should do in the game
@raysi You pour different substances and there is a different outcome based off of it. In the end there is an explosion and the game restarts. Its a simulation/sandbox game so theres not a real objective
Well done for your first submission! It took me severeal years of game programming before I dared to make something in just 2 day.
So I'm not going to be original in a comment saying that it would be nice to have a goal. For future entrance I recommend you using itch.io page instead of google drive (it is easier and more customizable - you should check it out). Good luck in future jams.
@panwezio I will, thank you for the advice!
Really nice first game. COngrats for finish 2 hours before the deadline ! That is something I can't achieve, always in crunch ^^". I really enjoyed the game, nice art and music. Maybe more work is needed on the mixing (SFX and music)
for a first game this is awesome, graphics are good, sound design is good, you even added some particle affects so kudos there. The only issue I can see is there isn't really a defined primary gameplay loop. There is definitely something special here though.
Hey!
I liked mixing things together, and the assets looked/felt nice. I think the particles were lacking a bit, and feedback from mixing as well. At one point I was just adding random things, not knowing what it was doing/not doing. There was a white light intensity at one point but I think if that was the grand finale so to speak it was definitely lacking.
Thanks!
@hobzone Thank you, will definitely do more work around the sounds/music and gameplay for the next game!
@wizard Glad you liked it as it is. I will try not to do the same mistakes again next time.
@tamdevs Yes, that intense light was supposed to be the "end". I am glad people criticize, so I know what NOT to do, or where to improve for the next ludum dare.
First of all I would really like to congratulations on your first entry and your first foray into game development!
Though I would love to give some feedback and what to look for in the future: - I think it's fair about the light being... an effect.. - Though looking at it, I am pretty sure others have pointed out that it's not a good satisfying end - You know stuff about particles and all and you could have played with that! - The way that items are displayed is not the best. - If you want to make something like a potion mixer game then you could have displayed the items in a grid. The way that items are displayed already makes it obvious that you at least to put one of each into the cup. - As someone who does pay attention to player experiences... I cannot stress this enough: THE ANIMATION, IS VERY SLOW. I can get very bored easily waiting for an "explosion". - You should ask yourself if an animation is too slow. Because in a Game Jam, the way you experience your own game is important. Game feel is important.
Other than that, you've succeeded where most have not, and that is submitting an entry into the game jam. Stand up, and be proud!
You're actually really lucky to finish two hours before the deadline, too. I and many others take advantage of those final two to polish and stuff, as there is such a things as submission hour.
Was expecting more surprises after mixing the ingredients like for example what it tastes like, and more effects variety like bigger explosions, super cold effect like freezing cold glass, super hot effect like steam coming off from it, etc etc (or i haven't unlocked it yet). The game environment seemed a bit gloomy too, could do with brighter colors and more colorful bottles & glasses.
Regardless of the areas lacking, it's impressive to make this game in 2 days (what happened with the other 1 day?) and still gets it done without any bugs (at least i didn't find one). Great job
I wish baking soda + vinegar was possible :disappointed:
Nice little sandbox though, I sure felt like a scientist, mixing wasabi and soda together to make the most scrumptious drink
@bgdc Glad you liked it the way it is, there is a few stuff happening when you mix things together but it isnt much, its lacking content for sure. The day the jam begun I was busy so I started working on the game the next morning!
@celtican Haha, I had no idea as to what the substances should be, so I just went with what I could find.
@fiakaiera Thank you so much for the detailed review. I will take in consideration most of the criticism for my next game jam. Most reviews suggest the same, and I can see my mistake. I think my first fault was not planning things out on paper. I just got the idea and started working on it. I should have done more testing and polishing in the end too. I think I might get people to play it before publishing to get some reviews before the final version
As has been mentioned before, the game needs something more to it maybe some sort of "quest" system just to keep things interesting and give the player an objective. It is a fun concept however and with a little more work it could be a lot of fun!
@ty-victorson thank you for the review, I like the idea of having a quest system, even thought about it during the time I was working on the game, but never had a good idea of how to do it.
