i don't really understand the game unfortunately
That's a brilliant take on the theme - well done.
I love the concept; I can see myself drawing out game states to solve some of these levels. I'm not sure if you have plans for this in the future but would love to see this as a mobile game.
i did understand the game but started solving everything my just clicking around. But at the 33 Level I started to think more about it, and it actually is pretty fun, even tho the ai responses do lead to atleast some trial&error. gives me sudoku vibes. a simple "tok" sound probably would've helped giving you some more response to what you are doing.
@anonymous I was afraid it was not quite intuitive :/ Which part did you not understand? Game goal? How to make moves? What is the centre of mass?
@tharbakim Thanks!
@ghoulean Thanks, but I'm not sure I'll be able to think up enough interesting levels.
@butterfly Right, I forgot to add sounds. And forgot to disable grading in dounds too. I supposed it's not possible to change grading categories after submission is over?
@Baturinsky just ignore the sound rating result. The logic part about this game is really nice and probably even worth exploring a bit more. Who cares about sound rating.
Looks like I could remove the sound rating and add graphics one. Graphics is also nothing special, but at least it's present, and I wanted to know if it's at least passable.
This is quite a fascinating concept, I like the strategy of attempting to force a bad move on the opponent. Also amazing use of the theme, it is really cool to see unstable used as your goal instead of a force opposing the player. Finally the animation for the actual flipping is a great touch!
I'm glad you included the par scores, first time through I brute forced some of the levels, but replaying to think through the par score was pretty fun. Also managed to beat the par on Star :) ParStar.PNG
@@ninjacreeper47 I'm not actually good myself at playing this game, and Pars were my best results, so they are beatable on some levels, especially the latter ones.
Unique idea, I don't think I've ever played a game like this. I managed to beat par with 5 turns on the last level which made me feel smart, but then I tried other levels with my learned strategy and it didn't work. I think this would fun as a multiplayer game since people can make dumb moves and learn their opponents strategies.
The game could definitely use some background music though. Like some "thinking" music, ambient noise, or like elevator music
Also, I like how this game can fit the theme even if you flip the rules and make the player have to keep the ball on the board. Great job overall
A fun geometric, puzzle game. If my memory isn't lying to me, I feel like I've played a real life version of this before.
The idea that the player needs to trap the AI into a bad move is neat. The graphics are nice and readable as well.
I wish there was a built-in dark mode and maybe some sound effects to give the game some impact. An idea for an enhancement would be an audio cue for when the AI is forced to make a non-optimal move.
Overall, feels like a well-realized game.
This is a really cool take on the theme. Sadly I am not good enough to beat more that a couple of levels, but I get the idea. The weight position marker is a nice touch.
cool game idea.. and one tough ai
@fakefirefly I did not thought that there are board games based on weight balance... Popular ones, at least. But now that you mentioned it, I googled, and indeed there are even real physical implementations https://www.etsy.com/LovelyWoodenThings/listing/790581853/derevannyj-balans-doska-igry-derevannaa?utm_campaign=Share&utm_medium=social_organic&utm_source=MSMT&utm_term=so.smt&share_time=1585593592000
And yeah, I keep forgetting that sound exist when making games:) Will try to keep that in mind it on next jams.
@Skleembof "Also, I like how this game can fit the theme even if you flip the rules and make the player have to keep the ball on the board." something like that was my initial idea. But then I have decided to flip it over:)
Great concept and implementation! I love how you can't win if you don't force the ai to make a bad move. Great work.
Very clever idea, and I love this interpretation of the theme!
A very nice puzzler. Great idea. Well implemented. Unfortunately in some levels it felt like tic-tac-toe, i.e. I could not find a move to win, as the AI just was mimicim my move. I like the simple graphics.
Really nice game, a good idea for something quite different than the other games in this jam! It seems well-made, graphics are very simple but it's sufficient for this game. I've managed to win at all levels after a few try, except for star-3... Would love to play with a human opponent!
Edit: I went back at it and won the star-3 level first try! Yay!
Nice puzzle game. I liked the art style, nice and clear.
Nice concept, I haven't seen any similar games. I'm not a puzzle guy so I can't beat late levels. The impliminatiotn is pretty nice and polished. I wish it had more "simulative" look, mb 3d with physics.
Cool entry @baturinsky, love your 13k games too, especially that one about warping.
Interesting innovative puzzle! Very nice minimalistic graphics. The first level made it clear what to do. Some levels were pretty challenging to beat, especially the last one - "Hex2", 70+ moves here. Good entry!
This is amazing puzzle game! It would be great, if you add player-vs-player mode
