seems great! a little annoying with the longer animations though

I like the setting, the interpretation of the theme and the character animations. I found getting up over a ledge a bit frustrating sometimes, but otherwise the controls were good.

all in all, the controls feel really good, and was blown away by the animations. However I never got the 3rd key because I tink the high backflip is a bit random? Like i would press the same combination of keys and sometimes it would do it and sometimes it wont. or maybe im just bad haha

I'm baffled that you only took 4th place in the UT game jam. This is def a game that when further developed, could turn into a really cool platformer type game. Just add some more levels, other unique goals and stuff like that. I loved it, and would love to see more!

I like it, I had a bit of a hard time doing backflips, maybe you could add some time where you don't get chased to get used to the controls?

Really interesting little game! I like the controls a lot, they feel smooth and responsive. The backflip is also a really cool way to add more depth to the controls. It is a bit hard to do, as other have said, but when you do it is really satisfying! I also kind of liked that you were just thrown into the deep at the beginning, it fit the atmosphere of the game very well. It might be a bit overwhelming gamedesign wise, but you just die and can try again. After a few times I got the hang of the controls and managed to collect all three keys :)

I really hated the sound effects, but in a good way XD

Great job! I enjoyed this one a lot :D

good game! I liked how I couldn't really predict how the flesh was going to move around the level made it feel more like an organism. The backflip was really fun I just wish it was required to use it more than once.

The platforming feels really solid, love the backwards jump and ledge grabs. It took me a couple tries to get an idea of where the oscillating danger zones would appear, but after coming up with a route I was able to make it through. Well done!

Awesome game for it genre! Really like choice of sounds as soundesigner :p

transylvanian-blacksmiths 2021-10-04 20:26

Great game, love the art and the ledge grab mechanic.

wbertrand 2021-10-04 20:29

Well done! This was a neat concept, sound, art, and controls were really well done.

Interesting game, Good fun, Love the theme

toxichouse 2021-10-05 01:38

A great game, no doubt. The controls are responsive, the theme is great, the artwork is incredible and has an deep movement system.

Highly recommend!

Backflip is impractical because it takes a while to get used to it and perform it in a short amount of time before the flesh consumes the player. Personally i prefer double jump compared to backflip  aside from that and other minor drawbacks i won't mention, the game is pretty fun :D

randomphantom 2021-10-05 15:55

Very cool mechanics where the level changes dynamically, super challenging though! The backflip is rather imprecise. Jumping on ledges exposes you to the chance that it spawns a spike trap. Tight platformer controls make completing it satisfying.

Really fun to play, loved the art and the sounds! I got very frustrated in the beginning but as I learned how to play it was a funny experience!

saucygames 2021-10-05 22:33

Cool mechanics, the setting of the game is very well done for your use of the theme. Creepy as hell! I am not sure how you did the dynamics of which patches of the level are turned to flesh, but it was the right amount of predictable and unpredictable to be interesting, so well done with that! The game hinged entirely on that innovative technical aspect and you did it very well.

I did not find the controls frustrating or unresponsive, to me they were very smooth. The game is just unrelenting, which is pretty good in this case.

Overall a very polished creepy little horror game that focused on a single idea and did it very well. Great job!

I really like the art style. So punishing though.
