I love it! Fits the theme really well and the mechanic is good. If you give it a little more polishing it could end up being a really solid mobile game.

The mechanic is really interesting. Didn't realize what the gossip market actions did for a long while, was just clicking on them and then nothing happened. After I got that I was supposed to click and drag though it was a lot easier to manipulate the market. EDIT: Instructions weren't up at that time

Wow, very interisting mechanic. Its really cool concept. Good job.

robbzenone 2021-10-06 15:53

i like the mechanics :) nice idea.. (wasnt clear for me that you can move rumors etc)

The game is -super- addictive and fun, wow. It's such a simple yet cool concept I can't believe it. It's not obvious that you gotta drag the 'whisper' buttons onto the platform but once you figure it out it all just clicks in your head, good job

I really liked this game, well done! Fits the theme well and I thought it was a surprisingly good representation of the stock market. When the balances were swinging, for example, it reminded me of day-trading. I enjoyed tanking the price of a stock, only to buy a load and manipulate the price back up. Having the rumours and fake news have different weights but also frictions (I think?) was very clever. You mentioned it in your description, but local multiplayer would make this game. Having everyone buying and selling at the same time, and putting whispers/rumours/fake news on simultaneously would lead to fun chaos, a little like the game Chu-chu rocket if you ever played that? All in all, a very clever entry, I enjoyed it!

Hey matey, thanks for submitting your game to the stream! It was a ton of fun, good job with your game! Here's a link to the vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1170771627

@justcamh Thx for the link ! I will watch again ALL your clips ;)

Whoah, that's surprisingly fun, so minimalistic graphics and it fits the theme so well. Great job!

robindbois 2021-10-09 18:04

Nice! At first I didn't understand anything at all ! But after some test it came slowly ^^ So I think it's like the real market, at first nobody undestand anything then everybody pretend to have understood ;p

mediflect 2021-10-10 21:44

The minimalist style really suits this game well! Interesting concept with having the prices of the items literally tied to a swinging axis; really makes you think about "buy low, sell high" as a strategy haha. It's interesting trying to manipulate a physics system to maximize profits. I think a "reset balance" button to spend money on might be nice, since once all the blocks fall off one of the axes, it just sort of wobbles back and forth for a while. Having the option to spend money to restabilize it would be interesting. Not bad overall!

loiclegrosfrere 2021-10-11 16:47

@mediflect You can do reset or stabilize with whispers/rumors/fake news !

asimir 2021-10-12 14:39

A great, innovative implementation of the theme. I enjoyed it a lot. My only real criticism is that Fake News is a bit too powerful. It's easy to have complete control over the arrows with it.

wheybags 2021-10-13 20:06

Nice game :D It is a bit slow, maybe it would work well as an idle game? So it would "compute" the change over time even when I was offline.

rubenwardy 2021-10-13 20:45

I don't really understand how to play this - I can buy/sell to place blocks, or drag from gossip to place blocks. But I can't work out what I'm actually supposed to _do_

sirtobyb 2021-10-13 21:19

What a cool concept, i really enjoyed it! One of the best LD49 games that i've tried even though i didn't become the richest person. :D

Well done! And i agree, that the fake news are too strong.

loiclegrosfrere 2021-10-13 21:22

@rubenwardy Just become rich ! You can literally be at the first place of the leaderboard that you can see at the bot of the screen. And you can do that with manipulate price with blocks (of buy/sell or gossip) on balance

zimny11 2021-10-13 22:07

Cool game concept. I feel that it is a little bit too easy to just set up some block at the ends of arrows after you buy stocks and just wait. I think it would be interesting if from time to time a random block would drop on arrows. That would force the player to actively counteract that random blocks and made the game more interactive. Anyway, good job!

loiclegrosfrere 2021-10-13 22:24

@zimny11 I was thinking the game like this: - at the bot left there will be a TV with a presenter that say about random news that create blocks on the concerned balance (that's why there a three of them originally) - I wanted to do an online feature to "synchronize" (not necessarily real time, just to add some variations) the presenter events AND boxes spawned by players

(But instead to do some code, thing that I'm used with, I choosed to use my time to make something that no too much developer like to see...)

zimny11 2021-10-13 22:34

@loiclegrosfrere That is are really cool idea. What a shame it did not make it to the game, but I get it time limit is harsh :) I also planned more feature, but I scraped almost all of them, basing what I can do on previous Ludum Dares XD

theepsi 2021-10-17 16:28

It took me a while to understand what I was doing, also I was spending money clicking the whispers and rumors without doing drag and drop hahaha. I think it suits really well the theme and the game can be very addictive once you understand what are you doing!

gullyngames 2021-10-17 21:36

I really like the concept of this game, definitely one of the most creative I've seen. It was hard to understand at first, but I eventually figured it out. Good job!
