The art and music are really well done. I felt like some animation on the fuzzball would've added to the experience. I wasn't a fan of the controls at first but as I got the hang of it I found they're actually really fun.

Fun little game, I loved the art. My poor little fuzzball got chopped many times.

Some of the sound effects are "poping" and are distorted (tested on WebGL version). Unfotunetely disabling sound effects also disables the music. The music itself suits very well to the whole game and it's makes this game vary calming.

@owca Thanks for the heads up! Something I'm going to keep in mind next time I do something like this is putting the SFX and Music on separate audio buses. I got lucky with music since there's only 3 nodes to control it (separate players for the upper, middle, and lower stratums) so I just hacked in a mute, but SFX was spread all over so that toggle ended up being applied to the master bus. Less than ideal.

It has a unique style which the art and music fits. The controls made it pretty difficult.

Nice kind-of-puzzle-platform-game-thingy! I really liked it and enjoyed the nice graphics and music/sfx also!
Sure, it would have looked nicer if the fuzzball actually rolled around when moved but that didn't take away from the experience.
Congrats on making a fun game!

I love the unique, hand-drawn art style, as well as the way the music subtly evolves as you progress through the level. The controls are quite finicky and take some getting used to, and even once you have, the game remains difficult due to the sheer precision required to get round some of the obstacles, especially the fans. It took me dozens of tries to get past one of the levels (either 3 or 4), but I persevered.
The sound effects on the obstacles are quite grating, even without the popping issue on WebGL (which I know you're aware of), but in a way, it just adds to the sense of dread every time you get near them. The fans in particular have this really sinister drone to them.
You're running out of time to get to 20 ratings given/received, so I'd hurry up and get started with that if I were you! It'd be a shame if this missed out on receiving a rank.

@f1krazy Thanks for sticking through it! My only playtester during the compo was my niece so I couldn't get a good picture on where I was in terms of difficulty.
(A niece who also really needs to rate some games herself since I just checked and she's at 0 given, https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/volcano-falls . Maybe once she gets un-grounded from electronics, we can pick some games to rate together.)
One of the things I wish I had done was adding more obstacle types so there would be more variety. I'm so happy someone noticed the sinister drone though! It's a low-frequency sine wave that was frequency-modulated with noise at at an even lower frequency.

@f1krazy I'll give your niece's game a go, thanks for mentioning it!
At first, I didn't really liked the graphics. But they were, in fact, consistents! I also liked the sloppy controls of the ball of fluff. Cool game!

A nice little game, I liked the level design. I'm not too convinced about the graphics, but maybe it's a matter of preference.
Nice game, it's quite challenging and i like it, also i like combination of art style and sound design. Well done!

@rolle Now that you mention it, I kinda wish I realized what I was doing when I'd intentionally drag myself across the wall to get a nice spin going.
It wouldn't be hard to add some angular momentum when in flight.
Its nice, a bit slow, but at least its not stressful for a skill game. Nice artstyle, even though I'd like to see more of the map

Interesting idea, and well exicuted. However, it quickly becomes boring if you have to play through it a second time, for example when you die.
There are also several dangers that are offscreen, so you have to die - or go slow - to spot them.
Sound design is good, if a bit loud, but the music felt very quickly repetative, and maybe a bit irritating.

Really digging the graphics style, the crayon-y hand-drawn vibe. The sound effects getting louder as you get near them is a good mechanic, makes the dangers more apparent. The mechanic is inherently a little fiddly (slow acceleration), but overall the game is well built. Love to see a Godot entry! Works great on Linux, as expected.

Im a sucker for physics games that take a little bit to get used to. This was right up my ally. The crayony visuals and the little particle effects were a nice touch. Might be a tad slow for my liking, but Im still impressed with what you've got.

@neon Thanks! My professional work is done entirely in Linux/UNIX so I'm always happy to see fellow Linux users. (To be honest, I never actually checked my Windows build package in Windows itself! I just assume it works if it works in WINE.) I see you're a little low on ratings, so I'll give yours a shot here shortly.
@roolow I am also a sucker for such physics games. I'll admit this one was in part fueled by laziness. Changing the direction of global gravity (how the notoriously slow 'wind' works) required next to no code. I think if I zoomed out the camera - at least when moving quickly, upped the gravity vector a bit, and allowed for zero-wind (gravity) it might make some of the challenges a little easier to navigate.
