Very cute game, I like the mechanics, and the background music is cool, albeit a bit annoying after a time. It's quite innovative and challenging. Maybe try to work on the graphics and esp. the color scheme a bit- they make the game duller than it is, and the perspective feels a off and unintuitive. But overall I really enjoyed playing it.
Fun and simple game, very good, I think the graphics could be improved a little but otherwise very well

Nice game, mechanics are good but the jumping height feels a bit inconsistent at times between jumping manually and hitting a rock.
this was pretty fun! I would love to have seen more obstacle variations. I like how you built up the mechanics and obstacles without saying anything. Easy to figure out. nice job
I loved this! One of my favorite games so far. It was interesting how when you were littler you bounced higher than when you were bigger.
A really good concept and really good execution, it's one of those games I could find myself playing for way longer then I should be
Nice game! I wish the graphics were a tad more descriptive. It was hard to tell obstacles from the ground or background, so it might be worth it to try to make them stand out more.

Very original game! I think you did an excellent job with communicating lots of original concepts in this game - it immediately makes sense that the size of your drop is your life, that getting more drops is good, hitting obstacles is bad, and avoiding the gunk wave is important. Tons of concepts, but the game is very intuitive! I found the collision detection to be a little iffy sometimes, but overall it worked really well. Nice job!

Thank you all for reviewing my game! So happy to see that yall like it. I will try to improve my painting skills, cause I am not specialized in it. :v:
Congratulations on your first game jam! :tada:
The repeating background felt a little buggy to me; once or twice I could have sworn that it reset, and the shifting brown pixels either side of the pipe were a little distracting. That said, bonus points for bravery -- I don't think I've seen anybody else attempt a diagonal scroller!
I really liked the theme of this game, especially all the obstacles and challenges a drop of water might face while traveling down a rusty pipe! I especially liked the frogs along the top. The controls felt good, and I liked little touches like that being smaller was more dangerous but you could also travel a lot faster and jump higher. Despite the simple concept there were so many creative ideas that made it really fun. Great job!

Great concept and game! Really hard
Hey! Some kind soul on the Ludum Dare Discord brought your game to my attention since it is low on ratings, so I tried it on stream; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1019424536?t=00h07m25s

Really cute game with a very original concept and interesting take on the theme. The pixel graphics are super cute and the music matches the vibe well. Like previously mentioned, jump height felt very inconsistent making them difficult to time. Difficulty progression was very good and easy to learn as you went without need for descriptions or tutorial.
I only noticed the time and drop size in the top right after a few runs since I was concentrating on the drop but having maybe the time come up on the screen when you dry up as a kind of score would be cool as I definitely wasn't watching that especially when I was almost dead.
Overall, really cute game that I could see getting quite addictive if I had a high score I needed to beat!

Nice to hear this is you first game jam! Hope you're enjoying LD48.
As far as the game goes, considering you did this alone, its pretty neat! The music worked, the mechanics were there, and it made for a pretty simple but enjoyable experience. It was interesting playing an infinite-runner type game that went in a diagonal. The only "problem" I encountered during the experience was that sometimes the background dirt texture would jitter/reset at certain intervals.
Some recommendations:
- Maybe consider having the pixel art not be rotated all diagonally. Or if you do, stick with it. It kinda led to this, er, interesting transition at the start. transition.png - Consider other instruments to the music beyond just the piano. I mean, the piano was fine, and it worked for this game. I'm just saying for maybe the future. I really like [BeepBox](https://www.beepbox.co/) for making songs for games with, but you may already have a program you like. - Maybe include a score display at the end? Something like @teto was talking about.
But yeah, this was a really creative idea. A rain drop going *deeper and deeper* into a pipe. But heck, for a first jam game? This works. :)

Cute little endless runner. :D I think it would have added a lot of polish to have some interesting hand-crafted structured sections (e.g., a long frog section, sequences of ground obstacles spaced out to fit the jump arc nicely, etc.). At the moment things felt kind of arbitrary and felt like there wasn't really a rhythm to get into, which other endless runners seem to aim for. Regardless, I really liked the theme around the droplet trying not to dry out- nice work. :)
