Fun idea. Would have liked more levels.

Fun game, instructions are clear, tutorial great for practicing and understanding different elements. Level 2 had a lot to think about, so could only manage to get two tiny adventurers through, but was able to complete all three levels. More levels would be great.

Really good game with original mechanics.

Cool game, would have played way longer but it ended so soon. Def deserves more ratings :)

Very good try, just a little can't count keyboard key.Too many to press

Awesome idea, its like playing twister on your keyboard!

Very nice game, I liked it, although it was very short. The placement of the tube in the second level felt unnecesserily far away. The spikes were sometimes flickering, it was throwing me off a bit. I like the clean aesthetics and the music is great. And I love the concept.

Wonderful game! The concept is really awesome! Had a lot of fun playing this with my kids!

There are so many thinks to like: the tutorial, the quirky music and sounds, the simple but effective sprites, the game mechanics, scene transitions, the difficulty. Well done overall!

It starts simple but gets quite tricky real fast. Would have loved to play more levels! Thanks for the fun!

Really cool idea and good execution of it. I love the art style and the music fit perfectly. Tutorial levels were a nice inclusion.

I didn't finish the game though, because my keyboard apparently couldn't register all the buttons i wanted to press simultaneously, which sucked. That is not a fault with the game though.

The only criticism i can think of is that the game got a bit too hard a bit too quick. Of course, that's very common for jam games where you don't have a lot of time for building levels, but i thought that it was worth saying anyways.

Was an exercise in stress to play, trying to multitask all the guys, but a very nice and well polished game!

hunter-x 2021-05-15 16:54

The game was fun to play (and prompted some bizarre finger positions) and I like the minimalistic art style. Obviously more levels would be great, and I'd echo some of the previous comments regarding the difficulty curve and jump distances, but on the whole it's a solid proof-of-concept!

This game is very interesting but short, i would like to see more types of blocks and levels. I like graphics and audio, but it does not suit very well to the theme. Well done!

I enjoyed your game. Nice use of tutorial levels. My favorite level was 2 with bouncing over the spikes a constant worry. The controls were easy to understand and the sound and music were nice. I'm not sure if allowing the player to hold keys down was intended as it made some challenges much less difficult, but timing the jumps was always fun. Very nice game. Thanks for making it.

This is a very interesting concept, with a little more time I could see this having a bunch of different levels and cool puzzles. You could implement a cool-down system that could make the gameplay a little more dynamic so I don't end up holding the same keys down for a while. However, I do see the argument of having these simple levels as a tutorial idea to teach players about the mechanics of the game. Very impressive compo game design idea, it gets my certified cool game jam seal of approval! Congrats on making something so unique! <3

Wow this was really complete-feeling. I mean, it could have had more levels, but for a compo game I think you did the right thing and kept the scope small but the polish REALLY high on the scope you did have. Each aspect was strong: the music, the art, the sound, the controls, the little effects here and there like blood splatter or the shaking when a guy is stuck in a block.

Really impressive all-around entry.

At first I didn't like the structure of the game. During the tutorial I thought "Wow good thing there is an endless stream of guys!" But then in the real game I was disappointed to see I have just 8. Then I got mad that it didn't let me even look at the layout of the level before starting, and I would basically lose the game even before I had a chance to think through. The I got mad again that when I did lose it was all the way back to level one.

HOWEVER... all of that feeling went away when I saw how short the game is. It's true that the structure forced me to lose enough to memorize the game so that I could play effectively, but it was completely fine because of how short it was. That said, if you do expand this to have more levels you might want to consider letting the player see the level and hit space to begin, so that they can form a plan. Either that or make the guys infinite so they can experiment (and score them on deaths or something?).

Anyway, this is a really interesting entry with a unique concept that was super-well executed. Very nice job.
