For some reason the web game doesn't start for me :pensive:

redkitsune 2021-04-26 19:08

The game is not loading sadly :/

pedrorocha 2021-04-26 19:10

The same here :sob:

The WebGL build didn't load but the Windows version works properly.

Very creative idea! When I realised just how innovative the core mechanic of this game is, I was quite surprised. The art looks great and conveys the difference of depth as well as is possible for 2D art. The jump in difficulty from the first level to the second level was a bit too much, but the game was very neat and interesting.

@joonamo @redkitsune @pedrorocha Thanks. I just fixed the webgl version.

This is a very unique puzzle-platformer. I have never played anything quite like it!

Very fun jam game. I wish there were more levels!

baconeta 2021-04-28 05:41

Wow , this is a very creative take on the theme! I enjoyed it and of course would LOVE to see some further levels and new mechanics! All in all, amazing given the time limit!

kaabiikaze 2021-04-28 05:44

I like the ghost figures in here :ghost:

But in all seriousness, I like the idea, definitely more of a puzzle than a platformer. There are some instances where you fall like a rock in order to land on a terrain that you need to focus while falling, so the timing can get a little strict.

One more thing is that the gimmick makes it a little hard to know which platforms are solid and which ones are no longer solid. This is only a problem in the last level since you have a lot of layers going on, making it a little tricky.

Regardless, I like it! I'm curious to see what other levels you'd make with this gimmick!

Really liked the character animation on level complete. I finished the game and would have liked a few more levels!

kovalok 2021-04-28 05:45

Super cute and unique game. It was at least for me very hard but that doesn't mean it is bad. Very nicely done!

steven-glenski 2021-04-28 05:45

Very cool idea and unique well done! I had a lot of fun. Only feedback is that it is a bit difficult, it would have been nice to be eased into the game mechanics and a learning curve.

prerak 2021-04-28 05:45

Great concept with the new mechanics loved the graphics would love to see more of it <3 Great work

keppersnapper 2021-04-28 05:47

Honestly this concept is one of the better ones i've seen! I've seen lots of digging and diving games, but to change DEPTH of field is really smart, im just salty I didnt think of it first :P fantastic work! It was amazing

darthone 2021-04-28 05:53

As everyone else is saying, this is an incredibly clever take on the theme!

sthealthinator 2021-04-28 05:54

A very unique concept, loved it! however it was difficult to differentiate what we could touch and what we could go through. other than that, it's a really well polished game

zerokun 2021-04-28 05:54

I loved it, i wanted to play some good 2d platformers and this was just perfect, i loved how you approeached the theme with this cool depth of field effect, i'd love to see a version with a lot more levels to play

shaymin 2021-04-28 05:56

Very very innovative with the field of depth, although it's a little hard to see the platform between each depths. Great game though!

jkyd 2021-04-28 06:15

Awesome concept! I really liked the depth-of-field-circle-bit as a border for the game. It'd be great to have a visual indicator for exactly where layer switches occur, as fine-tuning the depth felt a little gimmicky at times. Regardless, I was definitely down to play a few more levels!

bonesteeler 2021-04-28 06:19

I enjoyed the depth of field mechanic, I think I would have liked to have a jump button, it took a while to get used to falling straight off a cliff. Some way to tell what direction I had to adjust the depth of field would be nice. There appears to be an order of tile palette to the depth needed to walk on it, but with multiple layers being close in color, I needed a bit more help than that.
