Congrats on your submission! Although simple, its a nice base for a 3d platforming project. I had performance issues while moving the mouse, so its was kinda hard to play.
Thank you for your entry. It's always nice to see 3d platformer. The mouse/camera control was a bit wonky, especially near walls. Also the special moves felt sometimes a bit like I am losing control, the dash basically gives you the ability to fly and the roll feels a bit like a ragdoll gliding on the floor. I liked the challenge though and to explore the level.
great game idea. really love fall animation.
@scharma Thanks, yeah this was the first time using Unity for a couple of us and so we knew we weren't going to get things just right, but we hope to develop on that in future projects.
@dak001 Yeah, our character kinda gets stuck on that a bit, the animation was probably a bit longer than needed and so the transition from falling back to idle doesn't look quite like what we might have with a longer project, but it adds character haha.
@chrispy977 looks like spiderman or something))0)
@stratcat66 We were excited to work on a 3D platformer and really wanted to make it a bit of a challenge. At the end of the day the animations were just a bit wonky and we didn't feel we had enough time to polish them. I'm glad it gave you a bit of a challenge.
Great graphics but there should be at least 10-15 secs tutorial and it will be very good)
@cax Agreed, a little bit of a tutorial might have been good to get you on your feet, we really wanted to get some exploratory elements in there too so we hoped for find a balance, definitely could've used a nudge in the other direction.
Liked the game so far. I had performance issues on mouse-movement as well, but they weren't that bad. I also agree with @cax that a small tutorial would have been nice.
Love the concept, heaps of potential, good job!
Nice entry! I second the for camera and performance issue comments. Looks really great but felt a bit fiddly. Some sound would've been great!
The camera was pretty wonky, especially near walls and corners, which forces the camera close to your character which causes really severe performance issues for some reason. This made a lot of the platforming frustrating since a lot of it involved tough jumps around corners.
The time limit felt way too tight - I don't think it really contributed anything other than *ostensibly* satisfying the theme. I grabbed the double jump powerup at the last possible second and I don't think I could've done it much faster, especially with the camera issues.
The main character looks pretty cool and has some nice animations. Did you make those assets yourselves, or are they from an asset pack or something?
This is the story of t-pose man. T-pose man lives a honest hardworking live. But, like as all T-pose man has some deep inner demons haunting him. The only thing T-pose man wishes to do is to reunite with is long lso t lvoer blue telport pad. But, he is stuck in the depths with orange teleport pad. With no way to out he trys his hardest to escape. He reuinites with his ability and through pure resolve constantly reappears to t-pose another day. AFter all the hard work he finally see it. Blue teleportation pad. He dashes to it with unbelievable speeds, using the areodynamic power of the t-pose. BUT! Turns out the teleportion pad was cheating on him. T-pose man coculd never leave the grasp of orange teleportion pad. Condemn to spend his days traped in the underbelly of hell. This game is the purest form of artist expression for we are all like t-pose man.
I give the game 1/10 too much water
I really liked the game I had some performance issues but that's ok. nice job :v:
Nice work! I do like a bit of platforming :)
I felt the time limit was a bit punishing, and I had to give up as I just couldn't move and carefully control the camera fast enough to get up to the top in time. I liked the idea of making it exploratory, and discovering the path up to the top was fun, but I felt that worked against the time limit a bit. Would probably be nice to have a bit of a training area first before imposing a limit on the player.
Also FYI the timer doesn't seem to show on ultrawide monitors, which confused me for a bit!
Hope to see some more platforming in the future!
In general, I liked the game, but the camera is very unstable
Nice platformer with unlocks! The camera and performance (heavy stuttering) when looking in certain directions made it hard to finish it though. Perhaps an intro of some sort with some goal setting would be nice too. But core concept is solid, gj.
Im not a fan of 3d platformer, and at times it felt a little too standar, but for a jam game its really impresive!
A simpl nice 3d platforming project. But perfomance issues are really distracting.
