Good game, made me think for a while , the music was a little bit too loud

spacecadet 2020-10-06 09:31

Cool idea for a puzzle game and nice interpretation of the theme. I really liked the minimalist art and the music.

stefan-b 2020-10-06 16:53

we had a similar idea in the brainstorming phase but then went for something completely different. Would love to play but am on a mac right now. Maybe you could also build a HTML5 Web version?

notinatal 2020-10-06 17:44

@stefan-b I'll notify our programmer to ask wether it's a possibility (I'm not sure if it can be exported to HTML5)

notinatal 2020-10-06 19:06

@stefan-b I will definitely be able to add Mac OSX once I figure out the data saving issues (different folders I think, so I'll need to rewrite the paths). For now, I'll publish it without the fix, because it should not affect the game but I'm not sure.

notinatal 2020-10-07 07:04

@stefan-b So I looked in Godot documentation and the save data folder should be automatically set to "~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/linfinite" on MacOSX. Could you please tell us if it works after you try? We don't want any issues right now :)

animaster 2020-10-07 16:46

Nice looking little puzzle, i liked it. But i think you introduced new blocks too early, needs more tutorial levels

notinatal 2020-10-07 17:01

We tried to add all the mechanics we came up with, but we actually didn't have time to make many levels, so that's why there are many new things. One level can be about half an hour of work and we started adding them in the afternoon of the third day.

This game is so clever and wonderful take on the theme. The music was a bit loud but very suiting with the theme and the graphics were spot on, great job :)

shigi 2020-10-07 19:33

I enjoyed the game a lot. Sometimes puzzles get so hard to solve but it is addictive.

notinatal 2020-10-07 19:37

Thank you very much for your replies, we're so glad to hear you liked it. We have a lot more plans with this game since this was our first game jam and first finished project, we're considering adding story and more interesting mechanics such as box pushing :)

hi-im-greg 2020-10-07 20:10

Really clever game, beyond what I was able to cope with at the end of my stream, but I can see the potentialy for a fun and expanded puzzle game.

notinatal 2020-10-07 20:27

@hi-im-greg we are so happy to hear that! We already have plans to improve this game in the future after Ludum dare is over

woergbi 2020-10-07 21:23

Amazing entry. I had lots of fun playing your game and enjoyed all the puzzles. Overall great entry! I would love to see more.

notinatal 2020-10-07 21:37

@woergbi Thank you very much for your feedback, we really appreciate it! We're going to add more mechanics and more levels after LD ends and probably try to implement a storyline :)

I like programming-themed games so I'm the right audience ahah. I love the minimalist monochromatic graphics, it serves very well the general mood of the game. I encountered this kind of gameplay a few time, but your version is more interesting because it's more intuitive, and at the same time give more depth to it. Good job!

duke 2020-10-08 19:16

This genre is not really my cup of tea and I had problems wrapping my head around the logic behind it to really solve the riddles efficiently. I mostly did try and error and that worked for the most part :P The art is really cool, I love the reduced game boy look. The music was a little too much for more, The high distorted notes in the beginning were kinda headache inducing and I had to turn down the music completely. The controls were intuitive and the game play fluent as can be. Good job on that! The whole thing feels really polished, to be honest. Well crafted UI with a coherent art direction. A really good first jam entry. Hope to see more of you next time around :) Keep it up!

mikoziq 2020-10-08 22:01

The game is a gem visually and introduces a very cool concept only present on that high level as the other entry (MonkeyVM of course). Mechanically and logically I think suits even better in the genre! Job well done guys! Keep up the good work. And remember about my easter egg :D

notinatal 2020-10-08 23:11

@mikoziq Don't worry! We'll add ;)

spawncampgames 2020-10-10 16:04

I like the game concept.. And the scheme super makes me wanna pull out my old gameboy.. One suggestion is to maybe have a feature to step through the commands.. I see you say it would make it too easy.. Hmm I like concept but i feel like its a whole lot of trial and error in its current state.. I have no room to talk tho.. My game is basically all trial and error.. We dropped the ball on the difficulty curve LOL!

idenoh 2020-10-10 16:09

a lot of fun, I especially loved the old style of graphics.

notinatal 2020-10-10 16:10

@spawncampgames we are planning on adding it. We originally had it in our spreadsheet, but we were forced to ditch it for LD because the game broke down few hours before finishing. We are planning to finish the game once LD is over, and this function will be included

spawncampgames 2020-10-10 16:21

@notinatal i totally understand.. my game is lacking a very good tutorial because we had other priorities to address before submission.. We submitted a broken build in the last hour and only got the working one submitted with 2 minutes to spare.. Super stressful :D

elysiagriffin 2020-10-11 21:30
