Hey artwork looks great. But I was a little confused as to how to feed the plant. But I figured it out, the thing shooting is water, and you have to take it out for sun and the little meters at the bottom tell you how well you're doing in regard to that.
Overall great project! You should review some games to increase your games exposure on the main pages filter! I think you can get some good ratings. :)

I really like your retro game graphics style, but I don't understant it. A tutorial should be great.
Nice game! My favorite part is the artwork. You really nailed that old Gameboy look, if that's what you were going for. :) Your take on the theme is great, but I think the game could have benefitted from some more instruction. I gathered that I needed to put the plant in front of the water, but then it started dying and I couldn't figure out where to put it. I think there's a lot of potential here if you clarify that, maybe even just in your entry description!
Congrats on completing the jam, and thank you for sharing!

Nice game :-) It's a bit hard to read, but thanks to matt2728s' comment I got my plant to grow and eat many mice! GJ!
Very fun concept, but end game comes too soon. I wish I could have made the plant grow bigger and do more crazy stuff!

Ok, so I got the main mechanic after a while! I loved the GB-style graphics and apart from some minor issues, you did really great on this realm. The music sets the mood but it gets repetitive, not a bad thing though. I wasn't understanding the connection with the rats outside when suddenly my plant grew into a massive rat-eating plant, which was unexpected but lovely as well.

What an incredibly charming game! Super original idea, and I love the aesthetic. It took some trial and error to figure out how to play (the door outside was pretty small; I almost missed it), but once I got going the gameplay loop was super satisfying. It eventually had me laughing out loud near the end. Great work!
Ahahah loved it! At first I was a bit confused about what you had to do, then I understood that you had to water it and keep it in the sun a bit. But I kept wondering "why are there so many rats? What is that number on top? Why is my plant growing a mouth" and then it blossomed - it was so funny putting all the pieces together XD Thank you for making this!

The art style it is retro, and the audio is pretty good. I did not get the game play making the game boring. Even though their was a tutorial I did not understand the object of the game. Keep making games and improving you skills.
Oh my gosh, overall not the best game out there but in terms of humour & innovation, my friend and I nearly peed ourselves with laughter and surprise. Could have used a lot more of that fun & love during the general gameplay, since overall it felt very simplistic and boring, but that single moment of when the plant reached full maturity brought the whole experience up a ton.

Hi I just played your game and i LOVE the graphics! Your game has a really nice mood and feel to it - the animations, sound effects, and retro gameboy art definitely nails the vibe.
A couple recommendations in case you are interested in continuing it after the Jam. Maybe make the waterspout move/harder to get? I found the optimal strategy during the growing phase to be standing right at the door and just going back and forth to fill the different meters.
The second would be just increasing the growth rate during the first phase, it felt a little long to me.
Anyway congrats on finishing, I really liked your game. Make sure you rate other games so you can get more exposure because this is a really nice entry :)
I like the system of watering the plant inside and giving it sun outside. Through just level design that means you can only take care of one of its needs at a time. I was confused by the rats outside and the 0 in the HUD at first but they made sense after a while.
The picking up/putting down mechanic worked extremely smoothly, it felt very natural. But there's never really a reason to put the plant down. There's nothing you can do with the plant on the ground that you can't do with it in your hands. I wonder how the game would play if you had to manage two plants at once?
That look cool ! maybe the music is a little repetitive :stuck_out_tongue:
There is an ending ? after 100 points I was like "maybe not"
(btw, I don't know if it's a bug, but there is stacked rats sometimes)

Nice color pallet.
My biggest suggestion it to work on communicating mechanics to the player. I only figured out you could exit the room because I read the helpful comments here.
I liked the graphic design which definitely sets up an intriguing atmosphere, in particular the main character (What he is doing there alone ? Why is he raising plants ?).
I didn't not understand what to do on my first trial and had to play a second time to figure it out, I suggest adding more to the tutorial. I also found the gameplay was quite slow and got repetitive, but for a game made in 2 days it's a nice effort !
