Neat little time management game. If you want to spend more time on it after the Jam, adding some little animations would really make it look nice. Overall good work!

Thanks @no-grapes-games! I actually have all of the animation sprites created and ready but ran out of time... Will definitely be adding them in and cleaning some other aspects up eventually :)
Nice game! The art is so clean! The game is easy to understand and fun to play. Good job!
This game deserves more ratings. To help with that you should rate a lot of other people's games and then rate and comment on them. This game really deserves more.
@rodpraet thanks so much! Hope you enjoyed it :)
@beavergames thanks! I really appreciate it
Really great little game :D The mechanics sounded stupidly easy when I started, but felt a lot more meaningful and difficult as I progressed, as they should. Absolutely fantastic for your first jam game. It seems you actually found the scope to go for and thus delivered a finished product :3
@trexxak ah thanks so much! I know some people may think it's TOO simple but I really wanted to make sure I didn't overscope and end up not being able to finish. I focused my efforts into creating something that looked and felt light-hearted and fun - hopefully I achieved that!
Very nice polished game! Even though it's simple, it's feels complete and pleasant to play. Graphics and UI/UX are great, music fits well and creates the mood, story line / instructions made me giggle. The gameplay is polished but it would make it more replayable if there was more diversity like power ups, enemies or more levels. But I completely support your decision to limit the scope as much as possible for the first game jam. Btw, very impressive for the first try. Great job, I enjoyed playing it!
@mykola thank you!! I would recommend finishing with different dead plant amounts to get the full effect of my forced comedy ;)
Completely agree with your feedback! There's definitely a lot more I could add to increase it's replayability and your ideas are really great. I think increasing the difficulty/providing more of a score would really help this game be more impactful. But anyway, I'm super glad you enjoyed playing, thanks again!
What nice game! Graphics are cute and just detailed enough, the sound effects make it very satisfying to play. My game is also about plants so I appreciate your game a lot! Great job
Very relaxing, easy game! It would be cool if I could keep playing until all the plants died and there be a high score table, but other than that this was a quick fun experience :)
Enjoyable! The art, music, and sound effects really make it stand out. Good job!
Nice Game. Make a App from this on Phone this would make more Fun. I like the Sound!
I can't for the life of me take care of plants in real life so I was happy that you provided me an opportunity to actually manage this in your game. I didn"t expect it to be so stressfull but that made it more fun! Sadly I got scolded for letting one of my plants die even tho i only went into the yellow category :/. Was a bit sad about that one ;)
@adonisdevs thank you for the feedback! Some form of scoring was definitely planned for but ultimately didn't have enough time. I think something like that would definitely make it more replayable.. Thanks again!
@justine, @bohrmaschine2000 thank you so much for playing!
@strawberriesandcheese I hope this experience didn't ruin taking care of plants for you ;) And ignore the message, I think you did fantastic! Thank you for the lovely feedback and for playing :)
Love the flowers, Nice banjo slide & harmonic rhythm in the music! :) The game mechanics are very clear, but it seems very difficult or impossible to win and I played 3 times with a pretty good strategy I think. I guess they need food more than water??
The subject of the game seems super obvious for the theme, but surely because planting (& planting trees especially) is such an important theme to address climate change... who cares about originality when it could actually help our species survive, amiright?! haha
Thanks for playing our game, @conor-galvin
Cute game! Easy to understand, quick to grasp out to play, the art was well done, well polished. I may have done better than I do when trying to take care of actual plants! Great job!
Really enjoyed playing this! Note to self: don't try playing this again with a trackpad lol. Would love to see different levels for this and for the plants to disappear gradually as they wilted. Really great job, music was perfect :)
I liked this game, it was short and fun. I didn´t know how to do anything at first, but it may be a problem of mine hahaha. The graphics were cute too. So sad I couldn´t manage to keep all flowers alive, still better than in real life though.
@tom-stroll thanks for playing! And thank you for the great feedback! Funnily enough, there's actually a higher chance of them needing water than food, haha. I agree, the theme of the game was maybe a bit too predictable, quite a few people have done plant-related games as I think when it comes to life, nature/plants/trees are synonymous. I will admit I did go for something I felt comfortable executing for my first jam. Thanks again, much appreciated :)
@sarahfrisk thank you so much! And don't worry, I wish I was as good at taking care of plants irl as i am in my game lol.
@max-louis thanks for the feedback! Haha I definitely think using a mouse is easier.. But maybe you just discovered a hidden hard mode? ;) Great ideas, i might have to steal them! Thanks again
@delunado Thank you for playing! Sorry you found it confusing to begin with - I tried to explain how to play in the panel on the right before hitting start. I'll admit an actual tutorial would have been more beneficial, but alas I ran out of time. Thanks again for the feedback!
Hey, that was great - made me feel good when the music started. My only comment is that it would have been nice to have ramped up a bit more slowly so that I could have a beautiful shop for a bit longer before plants started wilting. It's sad when the plants die, could you do something that would make it less sad?
Nice game! :D Music was great (too bad I couldn't rate it :/). Game was fun, although I would have liked it more if it was a bit longer than 60 seconds. Also I didn't understand the menu on the right that showed some numbers and plant icons. Overall good game! :)
I loved the simplicity of the gameplay! The music and the sound effects are awesome! Saved 10 Plants but let 2 died! How could I? Greato Jobu! :smile
Nice game, I like all the different flowers. Felt like it had ended just as it had started though. Maybe you could have a high score so you can keep going rather than end after 60. Great work. Nice and polished.
Very cute, simple yet hard little game. Loved it. Good job!
I hate to sound like an echo, but this game really is very cute, simple and fun. I really enjoyed it and would love to see some additions like animations and maybe some additional elements. I think a high-score counter could be a fun thing to add.
Also I have to say the music is fantastic. I left the game open in a separate tab to just listen to it loop for a while. It was so catchy.
Well done. Thanks for the chance to play such a fun game. :)
Great music and graphics (why did you opt out of the audio rating).
I like the mechanic, I think it could be even better if you needed to drag the watering can to the plant instead of just clicking.
@conor-galvin, Your first? Nice! it was my first jam too, and I'll admit, I wrote some more adventurous music, but weaving it in at last minute seemed risky given that I didn't know how frequent the raindrop sounds would be (thought it might be too busy overall, but in hindsight I think it would've been fine). This is great for a first game jam. No shame at all. Certainly it's more than I can program. Lolz
@beng sorry you thought it was too sad! I guess because the theme was "Keeping it Alive", I may have focused too much on the death part... Oops... Thank you for the feedback and for playing!
@plopmenz thank you for the feedback! I opted out of the audio category because that was the only thing I didn't create from scratch - everything else I designed and made myself :) going for longer than 60 seconds is a really good idea, I did have plans to make it ongoing but unfortunately didn't have time to implement it properly... Just so you're aware, the panel on the right shows you how many plants are healthy, wilting, and dead. It's to help you keep track of how many you've kept alive! Thanks again
@god-colo you murderer :( It's ok - try and again and save all 12 and we'll both forget about the tragic deaths of the other two... ;) Thank you for playing!
@flipsy great feedback - I completely agree. I have an idea to allow you to get wilting plants back to being healthy by saving them. This would then allow you to rack up score instead of playing against the clock... Thanks for playing!
@kownur wow thank you for such nice feedback! The animations and high score is definitely something I'm planning on implementing at a later date. Thank you again!
@motley Thank you for playing! I opted out of audio because the music and sound effects were the only thing that I didn't create from scratch. The rest of the game I designed and developed myself :) Funny you say that, I actually planned to have a drag mechanic but ran out of time. Don't worry, I'm planning on implementing it at a later date! Thank you again
I like the game for its simple mechanism, which is rather relaxing and fun to play. I hope your team can develop the game by adding more elements to it to make it more challenging and fun: more ways to keep the plants alive, various types of plants, different levels...
Hm, I'm a vegan. It was unexpectable ) Good relaxing gameplay, nice job, thank you!
@sandra-martinez definitely working on adding more! Thanks for the feedback :)
@yolziii I'm vegan as well! That's why you need to work at keeping these plants alive, haha :) Thanks for the feedback
Nice little game :)
I enjoyed it! I think all of the elements required for a compact and complete experience are there. The UI is pretty, consistent, glitch-free and the plants are gorgeous.
What's really missing is the jazz. Don't get me wrong, I love the background music and found myself humming along immediately. Keep it. But I think the UI needs some jazz. Animations which catch the player's eye so that they have a better time seeing when things pop into view. Our peripheral vision relies on these motion cues to focus our attention. I had a difficult time scanning and keeping track of what I needed to do next, because I was never sure how long an alert had been there before I noticed it. Without this information, I felt like I couldn't properly strategize.
Another thing, if you notice in my own submission I included an in-game cursor so that the player always knew what tool they had selected without having to divert their attention. Since their attention was usually on their mouse, keeping an icon of the current tool went a long way to communicating the player's actions effectively.
These are just minor UI nitpicks, of course. The game itself is enjoyable and I played through a few times. :)
@kamekai thank you so much for detailed feedback! I completely agree with your comments and I'm currently in the process of updating the game to be a little jazzier as you say ;) The note about the cursor is really valid and I will be definitely looking into it! Thanks again :)
It's very beautiful, I really like the art, the sounds and it plays really nicely. Good job :D
Thank you @leonardo-fraga for the feedback!
Nice little game with a good mood! I really enjoyed it. Good job!
