Liked it quite a bit, at first thought it was rather easy, but got a bit harder. Graphics were great , really digged the art style!

Thank for the game :) First impression reminds me an old feeling from Monkey Island. It's a bit unclear what to do in the second scene with the oldman. Wish you the best of luck!

P.S. Please consider renaming the archive because Chrome (latest, Windows 10) is showing this kind of warning https://yadi.sk/i/_JiQDGGb4T4Isw

Wait costume engine! You deserve much more recognition. Your art style is awesome and I wish you good luck with Ludum Dare

I like that the dialogs keep going during the gameplay

Saw that the viewport didn't resize correctly for my screen, then read that it only supports one single resolution. That's a damn shame.

Genuinely made me laugh and im always a sucker for game engines written from scratch in c++ <3

This was a fun game! The fact that you made it in a custom engine is pretty cool.

The combat was pretty fun, but a couple things made it a little more annoying than it needed to be. I liked that death is one hit as it keeps the fights rather tense which is nice. The hurtbox on the samurai might be a bit too big as sometimes it seemed like attacks that were not touching the sprite would kill me. Also, enemies can be knocked outside the area the player can walk in.

The trail effect on the samurai looked really cool. The fact that the goons have dialogue during the fight is a nice touch. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this.

Dialogs are funny. I would like to get the story, but I can't pass orge. He is more educated than me. Otherwise, I'm to big for the small time window for attack. Still like this game and your sense of humor.

This was a good game, the last level was hard but nice thought, I agree with the ogre, cool 72h story ! Great graphics

I'm going to be real with you, this is the first time I have actually physically laughed in a LD game. When the main character asks "Grandpa what am I listening too?" and he answers "I don't know", it just hit home. This is such an interesting game, I loved every single second of it. I also really loved the way he roasts the main character in the beginning.

Graphics are really cool as well, they are all so strange but in a nice and coherent way. Great story, great execution... You guys are just amazing!

God. Damn. HILARIOUS. I loved how they always disagreed. I loved how you tutorialized through silly super obvious story context. I love the art. I love pretty much everything it featured XD

Thanks a ton for making it!

good game, but you should work on your itch.io page

Rated. Now this is my kind of game. :) The humor was on point, and some really nice pieces of artwork, too. I am fond of dialogue-heavy games. My own entry is nothing but a slide deck with an attempt at humor. I'd appreciate a quick play through and rating. Need a few more to reach 20. Great job and thanks.

I love the breaking of the 4th wall at the end, that was clever. It definitely was an interesting story. The ogre was slightly finicky but once I learned the timing it was fine. Some more sound effects in combat would have really brought this home, but overall I think it was a lot of fun. The intro was very mysterious, I find it hilarious that it was never addressed again. The sprite art is pretty good, each character has a lot of personality. It doesn't really fit the theme a ton, I suppose the grandpa is keeping the story about his friend alive? Still a decent entry though!
