I will help you create animales to take over the world
I find the games needs a little more explanation (you get three options of which two are more or less the same (what is better?). Would have been nice to have a few graphics (any animal). Found quite a few spelling mistakes (don't know if this was on purpose or not example Thirstey instead of thirsty), I found it hard to read the text on the blue background. Audio became quite annoying after the fourth time trying the game..
OH NO ALIENS HAVE BEGUN TO HUNT YOU AND YOUR FOOD "Button"
10/10, good on you for making a game! Practice makes perfect.
I too found it a bit hard to judge between the choices when there's no explanation on what they actually do
Yay our animal take over the world! Need a few try, but I enjoy playing it..
Heyo, firstly, congratz on completing your first Ludum Dare and your 2nd ever Game Jam!
Likewise, I found it pretty hard to understand what I am supposed to do, but the game is relatively simple so I got the hang about it decently fast(I think).
Otherwise, Some of your UI text are scaled diffrently and are of different sizes. It would be better to keep it consistant.
Like most of the other comments, I found it really difficult to tell what to do in this game. Also, the layout of the interface was quite confusing and the text was blurry. You should be careful not to leave any default fields in, one of the buttons just says "button" on it. As for audio, the music didn't really add anything. You shouldn't feel compelled to add music to a game like this, and if you want to compose your own, at least look into the basics of chord progressions and such. You don't need to know that much music theory to get to the point where you can create some presentable sounding audio.
There's clearly a lot to improve on, but completing any game in 72 hours is no small task, so congratulations on finishing.
It's a great idea, but something just seems off. It took me a while to understand how everything worked. Even when I did grasp it, I still struggled. The UI was very weird. Everything was scaled awkward and was blurry. Overall, I see what you were going for but it could use some work. Good job!
Probably use text mesh pro instead of the default text component to get rid of the blurriness :)
It's a good start, but it was very hard to understand. It also seemed a little buggy, and visually it was unappealing. A better layout with even a little bit more effort put into the colour, font and spacing would go a long way. I didn't really get what was supposed to happen, or how to improve. It also didn't look like you had a lot of time for testing, e.g you could assign more than the given evolution points at the start. Well done for submitting something in time, in many ways that's the hardest thing about a game jam, but this definitely needs some more work. I would recommend going with a game smaller in size next time, to make it easier to manange.
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! I can tell a lot of thought was put into this game. I know that doesn't sound like much, but planning and idea is the biggest part of any game creation and I can really tell that you had a clear idea in mind.
I'm going to sound like a broken record, as the other comments have already mentioned it, but I was very confused on what exactly I was to do. I couldn't figure out how to get points back once I had used them and I was able top use over my allotted amount of points, even though it would just kill me the next round. I believe with a few other design checks in place, you have a good sim on your hands!
Not sure but you might have been missing an option for evolving resistance against the heat. The music was a little repetitive, would have been nice for an in-game option of turning it off.
For a first entry it wasn't bad, definitely need to look at the balancing of the evolution points. Found the simplest way was to just dump everything immediately into evolution points, grab 2-3 points of resistance when I could then just spend points as I needed to keep up the population.
Me when I have no spellcheck. aNeMalE
The dissonant loopy music, poorly formatted UI and spelling so bad even I can tell it's wrong. Perfect trash  Was laughing my ass off.
