Like a lot of games on here, my main complaint is that it's just too hard! After several attempts I could barely survive long enough to get my second tower up.

That being said, the idea is novel, the execution is solid, and the graphics are lovely. I also thought it was really funny dying in a few seconds and having my survival time reported in millions of years. Nice job overall.

Nice game, i like the idea. And is fun. You should rate other games, this is mail way to gather ratings for Yours

I really enjoyed this game! Cool concept, and it is adicting! Good job!

The drag to rotate is kinda unusual and hard to master at the beginning, but once you get it the game works very well. It's really smooth and cute and clean, super cool game well down.

Great concept!

I think the controls were a bit confusing, I first tried using arrows and wasd, but then i read the explanation and discovered how to play. Playing with the arrows would be easier, and the tower could be placed using space bar.

Beside that, it is a great concept! A simple and nice game, could be ported to mobile and would be a nice game to play once in a while! Congrats!

The game is cute as heck, the animations are smooth and I liked the general concept of gameplay! Unfortunately, most of it was stifled by the difficult controls, as clicking to upgrade towers was a little hard to do, especially while rotating the planet, and rotating the planet felt inconsistent.

Overall, still a good game!

I really like this! I suppose I wish the shots weren't quite as homing, however? What I at least found the most fun and interesting was having to juggle the different priorities of types of meteors and guns, making sure I was always attacking the most I could with the right resources, but everything auto-targeted so much that that aspect diminished more that I would like. Would I be saying the opposite if there wasn't auto-targeting? Yeah, Probably. So what's the answer? I have no idea. Either way, great work!

Solid 4/5. Like other commenters I felt the game was very difficult. Probably didn't help I was playing with a touch pad. I really loved the gameplay, the graphics, the concept and the sound. I think I would have played it for quite a while if it wasn't so hard. I played three times and then bailed. It was very satisfying to get one of my towers upgraded.

In addition to balancing the enemy progression I think you could have removed the need for clicking to activate the towers.

I had a lot of fun with this! The art is adorable I think the auto-aim is actually perfect. It allows you to focus on the main mechanic of rotating the globe! I really liked the fact that I had to aim my strongest city at the largest threats while still trying to get my weaker cities to contribute. What determines where a building arrow spawns? I would have liked to decide where to place my buildings so I could have strategic coverage of the globe.

Great work! Really nice simple concept executed well!

really great aesthetic and sound design. I really liked the gameplay as well, it was very innovative and interesting. I wish that the speed at which the meteors/asteroids approached was a little bit too fast for how fast I was able to upgrade and buy new cities.

silentmrdave 2020-04-24 00:44

Love the concept. Definitely could be a little easier to start but once you get the hang of it then it's a breeze. Good job.

mahalis 2020-04-24 00:44

This is cute! Lots of fun too. I was a little confused about the upgrade paths—I think I turned some of my turrets into cities (?) which then stopped shooting at anything. Some text instead of tiny icons would probably help. Still really enjoyed it though; great work!

Very cute game, congratulations!

I had difficulties with the drag controller, playing with my mouse - but I have a feeling that this game on mobile would be amazing. It's a fun time-waster and well done, very polished. I really liked how creatures begin to emerge on the surface on the planet, I think it was a stupendous touch.

Really impressed that you done all by yourself this game, so, again, congratulations!

12 Bazillion Years! I'm unsure of the click-drag as well, it honestly feels like controls for a tablet game. However, this is straight-up better than many commercial games, so bravo!

artemftw 2020-04-24 01:18

Nicely done! The visuals and sounds are really nice. Great job!

ajahks 2020-04-24 02:02

Awesome game! It was really addicting to play! Could use some nice music. As for the gameplay, I think the planet dies way too quickly, or im just bad haha. Overall pretty good entry!

dis0rder 2020-04-28 00:20

I still remembered enjoying your last entry [Pitch Blank,](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/pitch-blank) so I came to check out what you've cooked up this time.

---

I like the idea of the game. It's like the old arcade-game Asteroids with a twist.

The upgrade system is neat, and the overall game is very well put together.

But I'm either a really bad player, or then the game is extremely difficult.

highscore.png

I found it impossible to last more than 500+ million years.

---

I first thought to myself that "man, these are some unlucky planets", but then I thought that maybe that's not a lot of impact events in such timescale after all.

impact.png

At least apparently if you compare it to earth, the planets of this game don't even get a whole lot of beating in comparison!

---

I also like the fact that everytime you played the planet had a distinct appearance.

I'm not entirely sure did I like the cute eyes though. They're surely adorable, and make it easier to make out the orientation of the planets, but somehow it takes away the "grandeur" of these astronomical bodies.

But that might be just me. The eyes could be easily implemented an impact animation though. (Making them close for less than a second in a painful expression whenever an asteroid strikes).

---

But all in all good job! I hope to see more of your stuff in the future.

Thank you everyone for playing and commenting, much appreciated!

@dis0rder hey, thank you for going out of your way to play my new entry, and also writing such detailed review! Yeah, the game is definitely not easy hahaha, and is funny that you mention the eyes cause I actually did though about removing them at one point (and like that they give some "personality" to the planet, but maybe they dont really fit with the mood).

So apparently this planets should consider themselfs lucky compare with out poor Earth, I kind of like that.
