I think the concept was a little bit complicated to grasp at the start but it was quite fun... And the graphics were incredible...

awesome visuals
Visuals and atmosphere were great, way too much information and complexity off the bat though. It was hard to under stand what to do. Also had trouble with controlling the boat
Interesting game!
It looks great, the music fits the game well, and the overall is quite nice to play!
However, I think that the boat is kind of hard to maneuver uwu'
But it still is a nice game!

Nice music and athmosphere
That was really something else. Amazing sounds, graphics and idea. The starting dialogue about Charon's loan made me laugh :) But it was too much information in the beginning which is really hard to remember, so at the end the game begins and you don't really remember, where from you take souls and where you should bring them. I think the small tutorial would be nice to get the point and to get used to the boat control.
This design is wild! Awesome colors! More definite tutorial needed
Really neat theme that could be a full game. The boat kind of gets stuck though.
Mesmorazing graphics, good sound, actually, this is very interesting and authentic project
The art of the proyect is superb! i was a bit lost about what to do at first but it was not that hard to figure it out. this game should be continued after the jam and make it a full game. exelent work guys. congrats and see you in the next jam
Your game nicely fits the theme. One of the most original out there from this standpoint. I felt it was quite hard to grasp though. I didn't manage to use the "questgiver". Also even though the game needs explaining I feel like frontloading it with the overlay with the arrows was a bit too much. Maybe working more on the environment to make clear what is what could help ? (well, obviously I now that in this jam setting we were all short on time...)
The dialogue with Charon needing to repair his boat was funny ^^ and I liked the esthetic of the lake
Also, I was wondering : with such a big team, how did you organize work ?
Great concept, and I loved the little intro section! But then I'm a sucker for a humorous underworld scenario.
I agree with the other comments though. The info panel technically provides all the information that you need, but if there was a small initial walkthrough/tutorial that showed you the function/impact of each action and location then it would definitely be a more rewarding experience. I actually thought the boat manoeuvred really well considering, though it was pretty fast from the get go so maybe ramping that down so the upgrades have a more appreciable effect might be nice? But otherwise I had fun, and thought it was a great idea. Well done.
This is a well made game clearly with a lot of thought behind it. I found the gameplay loop to be entertaining. Unfortunately I felt overwhelmed by how much info is given at the start, this is the type of game that really needs a tutorial but it is a jam game and I learned the controls nonetheless. Pretty solid piece well done!
Wow, good job to the team. Graphics and music are amazing. Congrats.
Impossible to play with an azerty keyboard and for some reason mine wouldnt change... Few things i managed to do what fun. Music nice but a bit heavy and i think it doesnt fit the tone of the intro. But the art is really nice and its a very interesting game with lots of things to do, thats requires the player to take the time to understand it.
Thanks everyone to play in our game. This game really overwhelmed because we wanted to add different features, but tutorial was added at the last moment
@adinimys It was not just a big team, it was a team, created spontaniusly for the jam, from people without any experiance in game development, one programmer from industry, and one programmer with experience. So the game was created from primal chaos and nerves of our coders. =)
Cool game :) I didn't think the silly dialogue in the beginning fitted the serious mood during the rest of the game. I played it to the end and found it very enjoyable from start to end. Once I realised that capacity is king it was easy to win fast. The only thing I really found annoying was when the text box blocked my sight in the lower part of the screen, lost many souls that way.
A huge team and a lot of work done on the game. Great graphics, good music, funny idea and dialogues. The boat has a difficult control (as it should be), but the strong delay in movement is inconvenient. Thanks for the explanation of the elements, but at the beginning there is not enough understanding of the relationship. It needs an explanation for better understanding and planning of actions. Интересная получилась игра :]
Really interesting take on the theme! Enjoyed the graphics and audio a lot. But I didn't quite get the point of quests. Whenever I completed them I only lost survivours, so after a while I just stopped doing them. Also, I think it would benefit the game if it was just a bit shorter. It got kinda repetitive at the end. Still one of the best entries I've seen so far!
@diw527 there were many dialogues, and quests we left behind, to make game session short.
@lamossus we wanted to add more quests with different goals and rewards, to make negative quests worth risk. But we were running out of time.
Really good game, excellent quality feels really polished for a game jam game. Loved the idea behind it, thank you for sharing :)
Very interesting idea. I like LD games that take place in one screen, and games about the underworld. I think others have pointed out that the game is confusing, I found this to be true. Maybe it was explained in text, but it should be explained visually. A hierarchy of information on the board would help-- where do I go first? Where do I go second? What are the consequences of my actions? This is tough for LD games that are as conceptual as this one-- people get platforms immediately but you have rules to explain. Also, I'd love to see particles when the boat is moving. Moving the boat is the primary action-- the game would feel much better if that action felt interesting or was interesting to watch. Overall a really solid entry, well done.
Loved the graphics and atmosphere! I found it hard to understand how to play at first. Awesome Job!
