I've been doing LD for already some time but this is the first time that I've seen a voice over.

The spacing between some fires could be a bit bigger so you can pass throu more easily without getting hurt
I don't know if the humor is intentional or not, but "Suddenly, a chicken came out of the bushes" made me laugh out loud.
Is it original music? It seems produced to a much higher degree than the rest of the game. It is somewhat incongruous, but since the author didn't elect out of the category, I rated it as-is.
the tiles are repeating way too much and it's easy to get lost because of that (is it as intended?)
cool light mechanic btw
Ah yes the fabled fire that doesn't illuminate anything. Truly a red torch at heart!
I really enjoyed the narration.
Would love it if the light didn't go thru walls and trigger enemies prematurely.
I had such a fun time playing this. It might of been cool if the fires had given off light of their own, but I don't know how that would effect the rest of the game. Great Job
Really cool game, but you could make field of view a bit less narrow, it was really annoying
@vilix64 Glad you enjoyed it!
@desertmaw I think you're talking about level 3, where it is intended for the fires to be that way in order to teach the player about the use of medkits. In the other levels, you can dodge them with ease if you are shining the light in that direction.
@pvg Yeah, the way we presented the story was intended to lighten the mood. Glad you had fun with it!
As for the music, we didn't create it, but we didn't opt out of the audio category because we made all of the sound effects. Is it necessary to opt out if we didn't make the music?
nice idea. its pretty fun, easy to learn but need better graphics. nice mood... :P
I enjoyed this game, it worked well and had some challenge, most of all I liked the sense of humour! The boss made me laugh. Great work :)
@spaghetti The point of the small FOV and the repeating tiles was to cover up the relatively small room sizes. As for the lighting effect, glad you found it cool!
Nice game! Good job!
@voidsay Yeah, the fires were originally going to be traps and it wouldn't make much sense to have traps in a minecraft world(I know medkits aren't really a thing either, but we let it slide).
The light going through walls was used as a gameplay feature. In some of the levels, you know where the key and the door is, but you have no idea how to get there. It also doubles down as a way to see what is waiting for you next, albeit for triggering the monsters. We thought it was a good compromise.
As for the narration, glad you enjoyed it!
look like i do lost too  poor steve..
@bbapps Yeah, we probably should've thought about this at first, but, by the time we considered it, some levels were already made and we decided for the fires to act like a surprise trap for when you're running away from monsters while not shining the light in the direction you're going.
@antaresvaldemar Glad you enjoyed it! We put a lot of emphasis on having a humorous game and we're glad to hear you liked it. We're happy to hear that you liked the boss!
Actually pretty fun game, could not stop playing until I reached the end
Really good game! liked the minecraft inspired gameplay!!
After seeing the game prologue, though this was showing me the way the herobrines form into the Minecraft's worlds
The game is good, and I love those intro and pixel art drawns. The only thing I didn't like it's that the game was too long and as a resut it became repetitive and boring. I arrived until level 13, wanted to know the end of story but boredom and repetitiveness made me quit. Anyway besides of this, the rest of the things felt really nice.
Wow this game has a lot of content for a jam! I played all the way through and definitely enjoyed the upgrades. Around level 13 is when I started just running through everything because I had enough life by then and I didn't really need gems anymore. One thing that was painful was the backtracking you have to do on a few of the levels, but other than that it flowed well. The chicken is balanced very well and was the right amount of challenge for me. Great job!
