Really fun to play, with a better interface and graphics your game would be so cool, it is already really fun to play "WHY ME" :)

Really cool gameplay, i like the idea ! The ogre graphics are very cool. I had a bug with the peoples don't get eaten by the ogre and the ogre food bar is empty but the game don't end Screenshot_20200421_132834.png

This game was pretty cool. It took me a while to figure out what was happening, but once I did, it made sense. I particularly liked the mechanic where the ogre wants you to sacrifice a particular villager, and you have to decide whether it's worth taking the morale loss to sacrifice somebody else.

I had a few minor frustrations while playing this, and found a significant glitch. First, it would be *really* useful to be able to see whether a villager can be promoted to a higher level job without having to click on them first. In the current version, I spent a lot of time randomly clicking on villagers until I found one that could be upgraded.

The glitch I found happens when the ogre is rampaging through the village killing people. If you take the person that the ogre is currently targeting and sacrifice them, the ogre chases them onto to conveyor belt and then disappears. From this point, it looks like the ogre is gone and you can play completely peacefully.

Overall, the core game loop here is pretty fun, and with more polish this game would be really cool.

Interesting concept and take theme, keep the orge alive by sacrificing others?

constructive feedback: I had a bug that the ogre came down raged rampage then ran off the screen never to return.

positive feedback: Interesting idea of assigning jobs and balancing the bars in top left. Simple yet effective, great job!

Great game, it took me a bit of time to get what was going on, but once i did it was cool! The ogre is well done and the rest of the graphics have some charm. I had a bug where the ogre goes on rampage and then dissapear for ever but i didn't loose.

+ the interface is nicely done!

The game principle was somewhat hard understand in the beginning (I didn't realise you could klick the people at first). After a few minutes of playing it was a lot of fun though.I especially liked the orge grafic. Good job with that. I sadly experienced a bug where the sacrificed people would get stuck in the bottom right corner.

Took me a second, but pretty cool game play. Nice programmer art, cool concept.

A little har to uderstand at first, but it's a funny game afterward. Graphics are nice, game is fun. People don't make enough babies, it want more babies ! MORE BABIES TO GIVE TO THE OGRE GOD ! I had fun.

forging-foxes 2020-04-22 10:30

Nice idea, I only won cause there was a bug, the feeding of the ogre broke, the sacrifices piled up and when his food bar was zero he didn't go on a rampage

toffanim 2020-04-22 11:20

Hello everyone! thank you for the kind words qnd feedback! Hope that even with the bugs mentioned it was still fun to play ;) We will try to bug fix after work and see if we can improve also some of the game tweaking (@minusc maybe more babies will be on the way :baby: who knows )

waltergk 2020-04-22 17:47

I won yay . Its a great game only downside is that some times i clicked one person but it registers as i clicked other and maybe a change in ui beacouse i ended miss clicking sacrifice some times

zerion 2020-04-22 19:04

loved it :)

galactic-chimp 2020-04-22 19:10

funny and nice game :) bit hard but fun. Would be a bit better if instead of bars of food/morale you had actual numbers + when creating a farmer or someone, you would see the change it would create. But overall nice idea and I also liked the little bits of humor: "why me?", "let's go" haha :D

grumpy-wren-games 2020-04-22 19:17

No bug for me and I won the game :) it did take me a little while to understand what was going on though. For example, I didn't know the villagers appearing next to the ogre were what he wanted, it would be useful to have a backdrop behind them like a thought bubble or a wooden sign or something. I also never figured out why some villagers could receive a role or an upgrade; sometimes I couldn't assign anything until a while after they spawned. It did keep me going though until I completed it, so good job :)

Really interesting game. Thank you for nice mood :) You can develop this idea.

thiefviolinist 2020-04-22 19:34

Good concept and game itself. it can be another goal for n knights to "deal" with ogre. Good job.

heyycap 2020-04-22 21:32

Took me a little bit to understand how to progress, but eventually got it. It wasn't clear the purpose of a builder, as I didn't see anything get built. Also, it'd be nice if the farmers went to the fields. Sometimes the people congregate in weird areas of the screen, and sometimes my sacrifices got stuck just before entering the conveyer belt. Good work!

toffanim 2020-04-23 00:03

Although it should be obvious in the game (working on it to make it that way!) I've added more qnd hopefully clearer informations in the description! thank you so much for your feedbacks!

adriankrawczyk 2020-04-23 07:54

this game is fun to play!!

prodigalson 2020-04-25 23:46

Simple yet complex at the same time :P

meelo 2020-04-29 23:23

It took me a bit to understand what was going on, but once I did the challenge didn't seem very difficult - just get enough of everything, occasionally feed someone to the ogre, and wait until the win conditions are met. I think the game would be improved by having fewer villages, but making more meaningful choices - perhaps if there was some incentive to sacrifice higher level villagers, that would help. Interesting idea, though, and the graphics are nice - especially the ogre itself (and I greatly enjoy the idea that the villagers get put on a conveyor belt to the ogre!) - and the audio is subtle, but a nice touch. While it definitely needs more balancing, I can see this growing into a unique game.

wallaby 2020-04-29 23:28

I love this game!

Please update it!

toffanim 2020-05-06 13:43

Thank you all for the kind words! We added a new version which has some minor improvements to make the rules more understandable and some bug fix :) Hope you will have time to see if the game is better or not after that ;)
