Really great game, i had fun, though most of the things i wrote made no sense LOL.

spaceguy99 2020-04-20 13:53

Thanks so much!

mantaraytv-games 2020-04-20 14:26

very good game! I thouroughly enjoyed playing it! Who knew writing words could be so much fun?

toc 2020-04-20 14:35

Interesting idea, and well executed! The time is a little too fast for me, so I had to keep most sentences to 3 words to stay alive. I would suggest making an easy mode for those of us who type slowly. Great game though!

voidsay 2020-04-20 14:39

Interesting idea. But I think the time limit is a little too tight to write anything coherent.

Maybe give more time and instead forbid repetition?

Adding spellcheck/auto-correct would have been nice features.

dps2004 2020-04-20 14:45

That was wicked fun! Here is the story I wrote: https://pastebin.com/v3kNNZ9a

The word I lost on was "ability" :(

thx4nothing 2020-04-20 15:37

Really interesting concept. I wish there would be a little bit more time for each word. I wanted to write longer sentences haha. I think it would fit if the demon could say each new word so we can just focus on writing and thinking.

doodlebrisk 2020-04-20 19:39

Awesome game. It took me a little while to get into the swing of typing that quickly. It would be nice with some tortured screams in the background or maybe a cackling demon.

nate-wert 2020-04-20 20:45

Very creative idea. It really worked my brain muscles attempting to create sentences using words. (I'm not too good at that haha).

takase 2020-04-21 13:59

very good game, I like the concept and especially the graphics! It's a bit complicated, but you get used to it!

team-on 2020-04-21 18:24

That's so weird and unique idea, I love what weird stories that you can write!

caeonosphere 2020-04-22 06:08

I do like the idea, but I wish it had a little more structure! That and a longer word list... I understand the desire to have art accompanying the words, but in a typing game I think that's a pretty lofty goal. I had fun typing my story, and forcing myself to make it make sense.

kuodos 2020-04-22 06:27

Nice concept, but there are too little time to write anything that makes sense.

auburgo 2020-04-22 14:25

After all these years my typeracer skills finally came to use! Love the artstyle! You should adjust the timer with the length of the game (the longer it takes, the faster the timer runs out). As i can type fairly quickly i could not really die and had to stop after a couple of minutes. Otherwise fun little game! And i love that i can add my own words to it if i like!

wolfier 2020-04-22 16:41

Ya this isn't my type of game, so i'm not hugely into playing it too long. However your art was amazing, and i'm pretty sure if i played it longer it would be amazing. If there's one thing i wan't to critique. If you choose to go further with this, you should implement a spell checker so the game can tell if your actually writing words or not, but also something so that speed writing doesn't penalize misspellings.

I wasnt able to see the next button because of UI scaling issue

@joamd Sorry, the game was optimized for 1920x1080 resolution, we didn't have time to scale it differently

kristinamay 2020-05-12 03:52

Oh no! I wanted to play this so much (it looks right up my alley!) and there's no mac build. Could you please make a mac/html5 build? :D :D :D

archimagus 2020-05-12 14:42

That was unexpectedly fun. I am not a writer, but still was fun. My third story was going well until I miss typed the key word and ended it. I wish the time pressure ramped up just a bit slower so I could get a little bit of a longer story out. Also, some sounds would be great. I think it would help a lot with the atmosphere. I light typewriter clacking, some easy music. Also, maybe something to make sure you don't get the same word super close to itself would be good. Super cool idea though.
