Definitely fun, I could genuinely see playing a expanded phone version of this.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD45 → The Inexperienced ATM

It was an interesting experience. I though, froze at the edges of the screenplay when i jumped close to them, i didn't know if that was part of my skills, or not, or it was just a bug.
I ended over a thousand dollars in debt lol. Fun and quick game though it was almost a little too fast paced.
I agree with LudumAnthony, this would be a fun game to play on mobile, it's simple but keeps you hooked. But man those vandals are fast, I think I only successfully fended one off once...
My highscore was about 60 before the vandals got me... I really am inexperienced.
@ludumanthony @seabird @fatsheep @blaster391 Thank you for the feedback!
I like the concept, I think it would have been better to have the vandal just cause a game over without taking cash out so you can see how well you did. Good job in any case!
It's a fun game, I love the concept. Pixel art is charming as well. I wish it started out a bit slower though, and then sped up over time. It would give it a bit better pace.
I didn't expect it to be so difficult, but I kept on restarting because there was something about trying just one more time. I like the extra addition of the jumping and rotating and found the ATM pretty easy to control though I think instead of the mouse I would have used the keyboard to shoot money left and right. Also, it would be good to not have the vandal come out immediately but instead have his chance of appearing be 0 until after a certain amount of time just to let the player get into the game more. The sounds were minimal but good, and I would have liked to have heard a different sound for each of the characters as they interacted with the ATM. Overall it was an original idea with pretty well done pixel graphics that is pretty addicting.
Ha ha ! Super fun ! Just missing a good music.
@gibss I see your point and will think about that next time I do a point-like system.
@nisovin Good idea! A difficulty curve would definitely add to the game and make it less repetitive!
@recursor Using the arrow keys to shoot the money would be a good idea. I also think that I should have added another way to have the game end without having an op person come at the very beginning!
@yhi Yes I should have added music :notes:  !
Thank you guys for the feedback!
This was very tense and a funny concept to boot. Didn't get it right away (tried to squish people so they wouldn't rob me blind xD), but it was fairly fun once I checked help.
The vandals just feel like an arbitrary game over. I don't have enough time to react. Partly because I'm playing on a laptop with a touch pad, and it's hard to quickly react, but it would feel pretty unfair with a mouse too. Maybe a larger play area or slower people would help with that. I guess there isn't any other way to end the game. Since it just ends the game anyway, maybe they shouldn't take $1000 away just so you can more easily see your actual final balance.
There's no real decisions around the people who have 50% chances. Maybe some more subtle visual cues about their intentions (some green pixels poking out of their pockets if they're going to deposit?) would add some interest to them.
I do think it's a good concept and could be a fun game if expanded. Maybe instead of ending it when a certain person shows up, have levels that keep adding each new concept, and a time limit, so your scoring is just how much money you have when time is up?
A straightforward concept that works pretty well as an arcade game. It's just incredibly difficult in it's current incarnation: I had a consistent downward trend every time I played. It's really hard to fend off all the robbers as they move really fast, and I really couldn't use the movement controls to dodge anybody because the game is so fast-paced.
I think maybe a difficulty ramp would be a good idea, so the game would start out a little easier at the beginning (like most arcade-type games).
Really fun but pretty hard at first! Kind of addictive, I would love to play this game on mobile :) Great job :)
As others have said, it's very difficult, but you have a really cool concept and jumping around as an ATM is super fun. Nice graphics as well. Also has to be said, finishing a game in 48 hours is a feat in itself so great job.
Really fun, except that it is really fast.
Okay, i am a lousy ATM, i always ended in debt and was crushed by the ones with the black hat! Its fun, simple gameplay, a cool idea :) And yeah for the pixelart!
It's a fun and addicting game, but sometimes the vandals reach the ATM and end the game so fast it's hard to react. Took several tries before I was able to get positive money :)
