I really like how you used PICO-8, that's awesome. Art was interesting and looked really nice. Game seems like it has a good amount of polish.
Extra points for pico8 for sure. Controls are a bit confusing though.
Oof got stuck on level 5. The concept is sound, maybe I'm just too dumb...
I really like the reversal idea. It's a nice twist to this type of game. And I always love to see pico-8 games in jams too! But yeah as you mentioned, the controls were very frustrating to figure out. I never figured out how to make the reversal controls work for the multi blocks part :(
The controls are definitely unintuitive. The decision to make this particular game in PICO-8 was probably ill-advised, since reversing a move takes a lot of input and PICO-8 only has 6 buttons.
@binarysystem and anyone else who gets stuck at the multiple blocks part: It's possible to select multiple points. A block will end up at each selection point, if possible.
Holy crap this game is mindboggling. I do think the game makes sense but I had to read you explanation comment on that link. You totally baited me. When I fired it up I thought "oh alright, another slide block game" but you proved me wrong quick. You get a 5 for innovation for sure, because it wasn't just the gameplay you had to figure out, but also how to show players info in a nice way and I think you got it. I actually thought I bugged out the game the first time I hit a reverse level! Also, THANK YOU for putting in a level select menu. 30-some levels is a ton to design in jam period, but I was glad I could preview all the later levels I wasn't smart enough to reach.
Really interesting idea. Even if it's simple I like the art style a lot... that kind of puzzles with those shapes and colors took me back to the arcade games I used to play in my childhood. So cool!
I was thoroughly confused. Here's a video of me trying to make sense of how to play, haha!

@jake-marks Thank you for the video! I'm glad you were at least able to figure out the controls :)
You're right about this being confusing... but it's a highly innovative idea, and very well done. I particularly like the subtle details on the anti-levels: the change in the colour and direction of the starfield and the arrows, and the little backwards-sounding "woop" each time a block spawns from the exit.
All it needs is a better explanation of how the controls work, and as a fellow PICO-8 dev, I appreciate that that's not always the easiest thing to do in this engine. Great job overall! It's always good to see other people using the same engine!
Simple yet satisfying, got confused once the reverse move stuff came in, but really enjoyed the simple art and sounds, it all fit together really nicely. Great work!
I gave up on that select puzzle. It was really confusing. But the game was fun!
Would be cool in the reversed levels, if after you finished the level the block would follow the path. It took me quite some time to understand what to do in the reversed levels. Not that it is that complicated, but an instruction at level 4 would be nice. But overall: Well done! ;)
Looks nice. I agree with many, that reverse-levels mechanics is pretty confusing. It feels almost random when I'm pushing all the buttons to get at least some feedback )))
Real minimalism! The gameplay is quite intuitive, the graphics fit the style! Cool!
Cool tiny game, I like it )
I see what you were going for with the reverse idea. It sounds really neat but in practice I had no idea what I was supposed to do and it was frustrating. Maybe clearer iconography? Or just something to make it more obvious. I like the aesthetic and sound effects though.
4th level is too much. It took me a lot of time to figure out undo mechanic.
