Fun art style and all in all fitting to the theme. The platforming controls were a bit fiddly, but I managed. Good work!

Nice game! I really like to art and the idea. I had a good time playing it. But the phyics are a bit buggy. You can get stuck in Platform and "enemys". Try to using a 2Dmaterial and set the friction to zero. Use that 2Dmaterial for thecolliders od the player or the plattform. And you can get stuck at the top of the "enemies". Try to use the 2DMaterial for the colliders or ignore the layer-collison between player and "enemies", then use a child object with a Trigger-collider to get information about the collisons. I hope I helped you. But overall it was the best game I have played so far. Good job!

Amazing way of interpreting the theme, loved it.

Well done! The art style is really nice, and the idea is hilarious, Duck-face for the win!

I loved the humor of the game! The mood fitted the theme as well.

Haha love the idea, but the buggy physics were frustrating.

Lol, why all my followers wait me on the roof?

belug23 2019-04-30 23:30

Nice take on social medias! Nice to play I got some colision bugs and sent an ennemy dancing on the back. Still It was fun! Thanks.

Ok, that's what I call a nice, innovative, good jam game! I had a blast with this! 5/5! Art, sound, level design, mood, ideia, everything is well done! Such a great job!

The game is funny but I would like a more exaggerated game, to really show the absurdity of social image on Instagram. I did not really feel like an instagirl, just some random girl walking in the street taking pictures, so maybe add more stupid sounds, a more pretentious character, accentuate the humor of the game!

Overall it was cool despite the pretty buggy 2D physics ! +1 point for "Starsucks"

Wow! Nice take on the theme. The most unique interpretation I have played thus far. I was afraid of how "mature" these "degrading pictures would be" but then realize its more of the "idea" behind it then the actual interpretation in the game.

The graphic style is fun but I did find myself getting stuck on platforms and knocking people over, lol. Nice work

This is wonderful, Thank you for making it :)

My new favorite art style? Really fun game!

sangemdoko 2019-05-01 19:54

Great Idea! I really liked the art style, it looks like scanned drawings.

I enjoyed playing this entry! Funny concept with bubbly graphics. I like that the game didn't take it self very seriously :). I had some issues with the platforming physics where I got stuck between a hobo and a platform which gave me a game over, so I'm going to have to critique that a little bit. Overall I had fun playing :)!

I like the theme of hunting for pictures and the social critique here. Clearly I don't drink pumpkin spice or avoid homeless people enough to be popular in the interwebz.

I love the graphic style and you came up with a pretty cool narrative twist on the theme. The game itself does feel a bit clunky however and the game concept doesn't tie in with the theme super well. It's essentially a standard collecting-platformer with a narrative and cool art attached to it. That's totally ok, just not super unique. The controls and physics felt a off though since it was very easy to get stuck on the sides of platforms. The moving platforms can also be a problem when trying to jump off of them. These two things made me lose several times so that I could never manage to make it to the end.

Cool submission and great art nonetheless!

This is a neat, unique take on the theme! :) Y'all really leaned into the satire for this one, I love it!

I will say that the mechanics were a bit hard to grasp, though. I understood that taking pictures with people upped your followers and your health, but I never really got a good sense of what followers did for me.

The controls were also a little bit tough to get a handle on. Stopping dead when hitting a platform and bouncing on up and down moving platforms are not ideal, but physics and collision detection for platformers are always tricker than they seem.

In case you haven't tried it yet, I would suggest adding the moving platform's velocity to the character's velocity, regardless of whether or not the player is putting in any input. That should help ensure that the character stays in contact with the moving platform, and should even make it possible for you to add horizontally moving platforms as well. ;)

These are all nitpicks though. This is an impressively complete game with more personality than you see in most jam games! Great sense of humor, and hilarious art style. Good job all around!
