Great game! Deeper than I expected and pretty impressive for a 48 hour game. Loved the graphics. The enemies were a little on the short side making them hard to target.

Not bad, not bad  I dislike the whole devil idea, but conceptually it's nice. And it being a compo game, solid work I must say
Additionally, I reaaaaaly like the bullet trails
Keep up the good work.
A great game for a single person project! I like the whole concept, but I couldnt figure out how to gain life if I dont have enough after the very first round (before you meet the devil) and wasnt able to buy the campfire. But I liked the game nonetheless! I like how you incorporated the theme as well!
Amazing, very cinematic intro, usually ld games just start you with gameplay, it was very well put together and polished. Graphics and sound fit together well, I like the mechanic of the upgrades, maybe more enemy variety since it was getting boring killing them. Anyway I made it to day 5 and I accidentally killed myself after using grenades.
Nice job, I really love the intro and the music :) The game is pretty easy to learn, and I love the fact that you can upgrade your character instead of blindly trade health for more raw power. I ended up killing myself with a grande because I wanted to test them, but whatever :p
Loved how your legs move apart when jumping xD Really good game, I just tried very hard to stay alive even though I was so low on health that Tom couldn't sell me any more upgrades :-\
Nice job overall. Would've been nice if there had been more variety in the enemies, and upgrades, but at that point we're really just talking about increasing game time. Basically I felt like there wasn't enough content.
Intro is nice, but a bit long! And in general the gameplay takes a bit too long to get going.
The general feeling of shooting is nice - some more feedback when hitting enemies would do wonders I think.
I really loved the intro sequence with the successful landing. :D It always helps to build the game up when there are some story mechanics involved. The actual game was very well done and worked as it should. I loved the change of scenery from the desert to the jungle and was excited to see more levels and more enemies come into play but I get that you can't do everything in 48 hours. Gameplay works well, graphics were well suited for this type of game and audio was quite good.
Overall I liked it very much and was impressed how much you were able to do in 48 hours! Very nice!
Nice storytelling & intro! Felt like an adventure for sure :) Gameplay wise it would be great to know how to use the additional tools (RMB for grenades was a guess) What does the fire do? Having some other enemies would also spice things up & some soundfx for hitting/killing.
Nicely done!
I really enjoyed this! The intro was nice, I dig the pixel style and particle/trail effects, and it makes great use of the theme. The music suited the mood and the retro sound effects complimented the art style. I'd like to see other enemies and also I think the fire shouldn't have a collider on it because it gets in the way. Very impressive for compo I had fun playing!
This game was awesome, loved the intro and art style. Combat was fun and felt responsive. Just wish it was a bit longer or had more enemy variety. As soon as I bought that grenade I accidently threw it and immediately killed myself haha.
Nice Game, really cool artstyle! And the sound effects were really good as well! Awesome game man  :8ball:
Great and complete entry. Nice consistent graphics, sound, story, progress... If I'd had to list some things I didn't like:
* Not clear whether I should continue once I bought out all items (is there a final goal?) * The enemies were frustrating, being so close to ground. Not sure what the best solution would be without making them bigger and easy to kill, but I really didn't like shooting ground right in front of them * Some minor bugs: controls get stuck/nonresponsive when weapon overheats, you can run outside of map as well as enemies, enemies can't navigate if they are above you
But overall a really well made game. Good job!
