The idea is nice, but the gameplay is not clear enough i think. A turn based action/decision would be simpler to play i suppose. It reminds me of "god will be watching" that i really loved. Thank your for your game
We manage to play, but this error occured twice:
Error

Otherwise, interesting game ! :) Well done !
wtf got so scared by the bullet shot sound xD It is funny on first sight, seeing some real faces on 2D characters always brings smile, but after a few minutes of playing I just did not know what to do, I understood the point and the story, but it felt like I was out of options and I just kept crying and not bringing attention. So as it has been said, more feedbacks and explanations would be great!
Otherwise I like the fact that you made the game for fun, that's what game jams are for
@yvanor Thx for the bug report !
We will repair that :)
Update: repaired !
On my screen the game zoomed in the center and wasn't able to see the UI properly, maybe because it is high density? Anyway, I was able to find out what everything meant through the screenshoot! Like @saering I had some difficulties to understand what everything meant, so I also just tried to keep low by crying and not making attention (after seeing that the other stuff hurt my survival rate). Other than that great mood and style!
Obs: The PC on the desk looks weirdly out of focus though
I try to play and I had this error ``` Error
classes/events/RaiderPanic.lua:17: attempt to index local 'hostage' (a nil value)

Thx, it's repaired now :)
When I booted I got:
Error

It certainly has some interesting art. The idea has some potential, but it needs a bit more depth. Additional interaction choices would have been nice.
this is cool actually, if only it has more detail of story or gameplay it would be better. the concept is really good with nicely done execution. again if you put some in depth gameplay and make it contrast with other mechanic then I think it'll be more enjoyable.
I've got this:

Do I need to download some additional library to fix this?
Thx @icxon & @sockyman It's now working
Fixed now.
Good idea, hard to understand how it works at first. I was shot while my survival chance was quite high, not sure if that was a bug.
An interesting little game, although it can be tricky to figure out. I had an issue where the camera was zoomed into the center too much and it cut off one of the meters. I looked through the comments and found out one other commenter had the same issue. This also meant I couldn't see the liking meter. It was pretty fun trying to figure out the best tactic to get the best ending (although I never got an outcome where both the player and all of the hostages survived) The general concept was relatively innovative, although I wasn't entirely sure how it fit the theme. The graphics worked well, and real faces being pasted onto some of the hostages' faces and the raider's face gave it a nice sense of humor and charm. (wasn't sure why you opted out of the category) The game is definitely stressful! The music works with the game, and creates a tense atmosphere, making it all the more powerful and startling when the semi-silence is suddenly broken by a gunshot. Overall, well done!
I am very confused about what the effect of the different actions that I can do are. Also I don't know what triggers the gunshot sound or what to do about the 100% fear it seems to cause. On my first try all hostages escaped and I died. On my second shot I was alive and a hostage died.
Love the quotes, music, and unpredictable kind of events. Here is my playtest:
