Powerful message here. Kinda ironic that the message is strengthened through entering personal information onto a stranger's video game haha. I really enjoyed this, not because it was "fun" per se, but because it lets you ponder how our digital future will end up some day.

Going philosophical here. I love your twist in the theme for this LD44. Definitely can be considered an eye-opener and a philosophical game. (Also, shoutout for the disclaimer about the privacy of info). Only criticism is it could be longer. But good otherwise

I really liked your take on the theme, and your a e s t h e t i c s were top-notch.

I actually really enjoyed this, the atmosphere you created with the lighting, music, and simple fact that all the people on the street looked exactly the same was really incredible. Gotta say though, the detail where I gave name to the baker then as I was walking to the clothes store saw my name on the billboard was absolutely insane. That took my experience from a 7 to an instant 9, absolutely BEAUTIFUL touch - really made me feel immersed. I had a real moment where I was like, "woah, wait, did that just happen?"

Very creative, like your game very much!I find it interesting when I buy something that I need to fill in. I think it's worthwhile to buy something like that.Hope you can see mine, too.

Very cool concept and atmosphere. The billboard was hilarious! Would have liked to see the information get used more, maybe you could get spam on your phone in the game or people start coming after you. Great work!

This experience oozes with the theme of this Ludum Dare and sets a strong mood. That music was perfect. You'd mentioned you were playing with 2D lighting in this one, and I'd say it turned out pretty well.

Good job! I await the spam E-mail, haha!

tater-hater 2019-04-30 16:33

@vinay-rao Funny you mention that, for work I send alert emails via C#, so I _Almost_ added that as an actual feature... But that would have been really annoying lol.

Great idea, one of few games that seems to have a message! I enjoyed the ambient music and the neon-y visuals.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the theme. Well done!

This fits quite well with the theme. I liked the atmosphere you created.

Great aesthetics, cool concept, unique take on the theme; great stuff! Would've loved a longer, more fleshed out experience, but for a jam game it was really cool!

Very cool concept of a game i liked the mood it set and the message it gave. What for me would have added a bit more weigh to the whole thing is to so a little bit of validation like i typed 1 for an email address and it allowed it.

I also liked that while you have to give your information to buy stuff you and the other people still try to at least be a little bit of anonymous by hiding their faces in their hoodies (okay i understand is probably because it was easier to do artwise but i still think it fits ;))

sn4pi 2019-05-07 23:14

This perfectly fits the theme! You made this experience quite well since you don't have that much gameplay but a very clear message instead. Would have liked a simple soundtrack or something like thath though :smiley_cat:
