noice game
ty for feedback)
I like the premise of the game. It's something I'm sure a lot of us can relate to. I think the characters could have used more distinctiveness - even something as simple as coloring each of them differently would have helped. The music was nice, really helped set the mood of the game.
Oh man, I have so many things I want to say about this game,I have idea where to start! Firstly, as an audio engineer/composer/producer I have to comment on the simple, yet elegant and blissful soundtrack.I really hope those were original pieces! Another thing is just the overall mood of the game, lighthearted but very stark and realistic in it's approach. I found the endings pretty funny too. Lastly, as a former college student (now college graduate) this is an unbelievably simple yet accurate interpretation of daily college life, minus the rather drastic endings lol overall, absolutely fantastic game with a very intuitive nature. I would love to see this title fleshed out into a full release!
Your game was played on my stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on the fourth day of Ludum Dare streams. Thank you for sharing your game with us! You can find the timestamp of when your game was played here: https://goo.gl/N2rkr8
good game. i liked the idea.
@conduit Thanks for the feedback. The music is indeed original and was made by Harllon Filho (in the credits).
Cool game:)
The game works fine and especially because of its amount of content this is already a big achievement. Unfortunately the actions I can take and their consequences are super unclear. Its too much trail and error. But on the bright side its a very nice take on the theme.
Played it multiple times. Got 3 endings. Won't spoil it for others. It wasn't fun but it was compelling. Even though I explored the area pretty quickly, I was going to all corners to find some sort of Easter eggs. This definitely has potential provided the story and level design is worked on(i.e.backtracking). Lovely soundtracks. Especially the subtle changes during night time. Maybe there wasn't enough time to work in a little complex causality, but well done.
Innovative game that makes good use of the theme. Maybe killing her after just one night of partying is a little hard, though!
A lot of content. I particularly enjoyed the simple walking animation that you used. I did find it a bit difficult to tell when I could walk through doors and when I couldn't, though.
The game has quite a potential, it needs a lot of polish though (as every entry in Ludum Dare). There is lots of content, and the gameplay isn't bad.
Good job!
What I didn't like: * Getting around was not very easy, especially because the campus was pretty big. It's not very clear which corners of the screen have an exit and which do not (for example, just outside your room, it took me a while to figure out you can exit to the left). Also, would be nice to have access to an overview map of the place. * I didn't really feel like I had to sacrifice too much in the game - studying with my roommate improved both my social and education, and going on dates improved both my social and health, so I could stay with all three attributes pretty high during the game. Would be nice if it felt more like I have to commit to one specific path. * It took me a long time to figure out how to improve health. The only thing I found other then dating that improves health is eating hamburger, and that improves it by only a little bit (I found it funny that the only thing I found in the game that improves health for my first playthrough was eating junkfood :) )
What I did like: * I think the look of the game is awesome - it's very simple, but it gets the job done and it's pleasing to look at. * I liked the mechanics of moving the character. * I really liked the premise and think it definitely has potential to become a really engaging game! * Overall I had a lot of fun playing the game twice and reaching different endings.
On the top of my head after 2 play through:
In several rooms, it took me a certain time to figure out where the exit was
It's hard to balance when you don't know what are the possible actions that will impact the values to balance. So there comes the exploration, that's a good thing. Problem, the passing of time and the amount of stat available makes it impossible to test all (or most of) the actions. And you can't deduce. It's game that seems designed as a story oriented management game, it feels more a game of chance. for instance, in 2 sessions (no time for more, so many games to test), I haven't been able to find an interaction to improve the health.
I liked the mood (music + story), and I liked the need for exploration
Brazilians?
@maycon Sim.
Idea of the game is good, not sure it fits the theme. It can be abit confusing on where to go and what to do at first, i think a map of some kind would help a bunch. Good game though, nice job
Awesome music! Very funny story line, I died without accomplishing anything :(
