I enjoyed your game very much. From the aesthetics, to the music, good sounds where I heard them, nice job overall.
It's like Dark Souls 5 in terms of difficulty, but I really like the overall theme and music
Wow! I really liked this one! i got to round 6, when 3 bombarians spawned right on me at the beginning and killed me.. Lol.
Things I loved;
- The music (although it is just an undertale remix, i think music like that would fit this game. - The particles and art are really visually pleasing, gives off a Cyberpunk/Vaporwave feel. - The upgrade/sacrifice mechanic was really good idea.
Here's some feedback!
- Movement feeds a bit stiff, Controller support or smoother diagonal movement would be great. - The camera feels restrictive, it should show the closest enemies and you in the same frame. - Some of the upgrades are just obviously the better choices. - My shields weren't generating? not sure if that was a bug or if i missed something.
- The enemies should not spawn at the exact moment the wave starts. (like how i died to 3 bombarians instantly on wave 6 :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
A game with great potential, art, music, I hope for the full version
Nice concept, took me a little bit to recognise the song lol. Wish there were more options for melee, but still good. Keep up the good work.
I liked your visuals. They were fantastic. You even did a good job with the front picture. That's why i downloaded this one. The player could be a bit faster with some kind of dash ability. That would fit right in with the feel of the game. A dash that left behind a streak would do it for this game!!

Good job. I like the reward mechanic of sacrificing. The possibility of not running seems a little useless to me, I would rather remove it so it wouldn't be necessary to hold shift the whole game.
But the real question is: why the frogs? :sweat_smile:

Looks really good, plays great, and the action is intense (especially the rolly-polly bomb ball dudes chasing me everywhere).
Really got into it when I had improved the movement speed. I think like mentioned above losing the shift to sprint (and maybe having the base speed a little faster) might be a good move. Overall a good level of polish and fun game. well done
I like this 3D dead cells - Lazy town -vapor wave - neon game. the character have light sword on back, have you planned to add the possibility of using a sword? Good luck!
Wow, amazing game! Awesome art, sounds and music, really fun to play. The upgrade system reminds me some Binding of Isaac items, I loved that!
@falak we even had it implemented, but we weren't satisfied with the quality of it so we removed it. If we continue developing a post LD version we will definitely reintroduce it.
Probably the most fun I've had of any of the games so far, which is definitely an important factor. I just wish the hitboxes were a bit more understandable, and there was a roll.
Fun soundtrack and visuals, and I definitely enjoyed the gameplay for what it had. Solid entry, congrats!
I love the aesthetic. The entire game is gorgeous. The game is fun too! Marred only by a lack of polish that is standard for LD, so it's hardly a valid criticism.
I really enjoyed running around and killing stuff to the music, the mechanics were clear and easy to understand, (though a minor nitpick for me was that the 8/8 to me implied I only had 8 bullets max. 8/inifnity would maybe have been clearer for me). The theme was also super well executed and obvious, yet had a genuine impact on the game.
Criticisms regarding gameplay I think have mostly been mentioned, but I'll do so anyways. Movement felt a bit clunky, and so some smooth transitioning between directions would have really helped. Obviously, animations were a bit janky at times, especially whilst aiming. Enemy hitboxes felt a bit too small or odd, and more feedback from hitting enemies would have been good, especially since the sound effect for shooting is so good.
Definitely you guys absolutely took it away with the graphics and *especially* the particles. I love seeing great particles and you have them in abundance. Theh ead, the laser, the reload, the bomb explosions. It all looks great. I have lots to learn about making particles, evidently. My only criticism is that it felt a bit inconsistent style-wise. I would have seen the frog, then the protagonist, and thought they were from two completely different games.
Would love to see this fully extended and completed, and with its own original soundtrack. Well done.
It's a lot of fun! Quite tense too. Ice mode was the worst and I instantly regretted that choice. :ice_skate: I really liked the visuals and the post processing adds a lot to the look. The frogs, I don't get :frog: Great entry!
Pretty fun! I found it quite challenging, so I'm not sure if there's an ending that I missed or not. The graphics were nice, and I found all of the "upgrades" to be a hard decision, so well done on the balance on those. The menu was really well polished and put together as well, which is rare in LD games.
Overall, well done! A solid LD entry for sure.
Very nice looking game, it is very fun to look and play. Only downside its hard to recover and the sacrifice theme is not apparent. And aiming and shooting might be hard on a laptop with no mouse.
Very nice looking game with fun gameplay. It was sometimes very hard to hit the bomb guys even though the bullets passed through them. Also, some mechanics such as aiming and sprinting seem unnecessary since it's always better to sprint etc.
