I love it!
I like the simple but great idea of the game. But sometimes I was not able to put things back into the bag. The game would be less frustrating if you could just modify the order when you fail instead of starting with all things in the bag again.
I loved it. Couldn't get by the cake level but I'm trying still.
Nice game
Not a bad little game, I like the concept and the presentation is good, a couple of minor issues though It's very weird to me that the game is played with the mouse but the menu only works with the keyboard.
That's a good game. Simple, efficient, with just the correct slight touch of humour. And man, this reminds me so much the state of my fridge... Good job.
Quite easily first place material for the jam. I really enjoyed the real-life problem of stacking items in the fridge. My only frustration was the speed with which things rotated. I really liked the introduction of other people's food in the fridge as an obstacle.
A very nice entry! I really enjoyed coming up with creative assemblies in order to make everything fit! the quality of the visuals and music are top notch! IMO the upbeat, happy bg-music should maybe be made a bit longer so that the repetitiveness of it doesn't become apparent/annoying when playing the game for long periods of time. The collision detection is also very impressive, it seems to be down to the pixel, and the physics is also something I wasn't expecting. Well done everyone! :)
Edit: I forgot to mention, The font looks nice, but when it is small and the text includes a lot of characters it becomes a little hard to read for me (I did like the references/jokes in the food descriptions though!)
Hah! awesome! really simple and really well planned.
Pretty novel concept, and I really enjoyed the graphic style. Nice job guys!
Ended up playing this for way longer than I expected to haha. Really addictive concept you've got here. Got stuck at the level with the large Andy's pie in it. No matter what I tried couldn't stop the pie from bursting. Damn you Andy, I wanted to play more :(
I didn't see the point of the Play button appearing after you've placed all the items, as it didn't seem like I had anything to do while the timer was ticking down. Loved the gfx though and the sound design, while simple, is very complete. I didn't seem to be able to put stuff back in the bag and this led to a couple of dead ends if I ran out of space to place stuff before the bag was empty. But a nice entry for sure =)
It's a cool idea and the aesthetics is really great. I like the hand drawn style. The gameplay is simple but it works. The rule of failing/succeeding a level was not that clear though because sometimes groceries got smashes for no reason. Apart from that, it's a fun little game to play, congrats!
I broke so many eggs.. ! Congrats for your game :)
@rother-games yea there is pixel perfect collision when you're placing things back in the bag but you do have more space there than in the fridge so you just have to shift things around which was intended.
@dmtroy good point. I had it as keyboard input because you can actually move and play around with the food in the background in the main menu, but keeping consistent input is probably for the better.
@polyducks thank you! you can actually slow down the rate of rotation by holding down the Shift key while rotating.
@smouch haha yea the last 2 levels are pretty hard. The key to the pie level is leaning the eggs against each other.
@karmafarm I don't know how far you played but in the later levels delicate food is introduced and you have to make sure to keep the delicates safe during the duration of the timer. And yea the bag also has pixel perfect collisions but there's a lot more room in the bag than in the fridge so you just have to shift things around which was intended.
@rend yea I tried to make the groceries different and realistic to how they would actually behave i.e. bread gets squished if you put too much weight on it but it can survive impacts very well while eggs can take on more weight but are weak to impact.
-Thank you all for playing our game~
