Nice take of the theme - would have been great to know it was a typing game. Great work

A rather classic take on a "quick-typing" game! I do like the presentation, it suits the theme, also really like stack of papers making have a sort of in-game progress-bar (I would have liked it to reset however, or at-least not have a limit to how much could be stacked).
I do feel however, if you are only doing the basic type-gameplay there must be more focus on the smaller details. The words on the papers could have been placed better instead of always to the left, the papers could have been dropped down instead of teleported in, a bit more feedback on the typing (maybe having a old-school typing sound in place). Maybe even have other hazards that drop in making it all the more difficult to read the words? You could play a bit more with the space of the desk itself.
All in all, a nice game that can be pushed a lot more. Good work :)
Ah, a good old type-or-die game! The difficulty ramps up pretty fast. You better not get stuck on a word. Never made it past 60 seconds. At first I was confused when some of the letters were missing on the other papers but then I figured out that I already typed the first ones on the previous paper.
A rather successful strategy is just banging on the keyboard. Maybe there should have been some sort of penalty for typing the wrong letter? And keep checking for letters just in the current word? No matter. It's very enjoyable as it is!
What kind of document am I printing btw? Those words would make an interesting article. ;)
Great work!
I love typing games, so I really enjoyed this one. Even thought there wasn't anything else but typing (like a backstory or something) it was still fun. I managed about 33 or 35 papers, it's really hard. And that's good. I've always considered myself a good type writer - this game proved me wrong, haha! - Pros: Entertaining, short and infinite gameplay (best option for a jam game). The music in the background fits well too. - Cons: Sometimes when you write, other words are changing too. It doesn't seem like a problem but for me it was. It's easy to write things like "Work", "Superb", "Knife", because you don't even think about these words, you know them. However, if you have words like "rk", "erb", "ife", you stop for a second thinking how to even write them.
@petitpois thanks for the tip, added it to the game description right away!
@hauo First of all, Thanks for all the constructive feedback! Most of the issues you adressed where problems with me procastinating and then realizing I didn't have enough time for animations and word positioning and such. I chose to stick the words to the left as that made sure that the words didn't just move everytiime you typed a letter (as it would always be centered on the page), and I really do wish that I had enough time to fix that... As for adding hazards, that's a great idea! I'll think about that for the next ludum dare!
@mashas Yeah, I was having trouble with the spped of the spawner, and kinda kust went with that as it kinda felt ok, but yeah, it's hard! While playtesting a friend also told me that you could just bang on the keyboard, and mabye you can, but then you'd have to get a big *document* and smash it on the keyboard, so you dont miss any keys. Thanks for all your feedbakck, it really helps (btw, i have no idea what document that might be, but I would definately read it!)
@iluvatar thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it! The other words changing as you are typing one word is kida a feature, both because I'm too lazy to fix it, and because it presents a completely new challenge, typing words that are missing some characters. As you say it makes you stop and think for a second, something that you don't really have time to do!
I liked it, very original take on the theme. Everything seemed to work pretty well... I did find that the mechanic where typing matched multiple sheets was a little strange, but your explanation makes sense. It really ramps up in difficulty really fast, I think I only made it like 40ish seconds :)
A good old typing game, was challenging enough, good job with this game.
Totally missed the whole "typing game" in the instructions and had no idea what I was doing... :) However, once I figured it out, it was fun. I can play these types of games for quite some time. Lumosity had some games like this and I enjoyed them as my first-ish introduction to the type.
Nice typing game! Though I guess I don't have much to add, Iluvatar already had my points covered  and my score was also around 30 pages!
Cheers!
Overall a unique interpretation of the theme. I'm not a particularly fast at typing so I wasn't able to get very far. Oh, and I noticed that (in the WebGL build at least) the music keeps playing more layers on top of its self as you keep going back to the menu.
A really unique idea. I struggled to figure out how to work it, but after I got the hang of it it was really fun! A brief tutorial would be nice, but otherwise, I liked the game.
This game is great! Because of this kind of "Oh that was my score. I have to beat that!" - feeling, it made me very addictive. I like your interpretation of the theme alot and the music was a good setup for the gameplay. It's the perfect game for people to learn typing with all 10 fingers plus watching the screen so I'd be honest and say that your game would be a good and funny educational game.
The only issue I have is that around 40ish seconds the game ramps up to a speed I can't possibly beat leaving all my runs ending at 45,43 and 42 seconds. That's about it- cool game.
