@lynn-young, is it not in the description? You can find it at https://benjamin-l.itch.io/rusted-robots.
It is now, thanks! But it looks like there isn't a mac version. :/
@lynn-young we are working on a web version and hope to have it out in 1-2 hours. Sorry for the let down, but thanks for coming back!
Oh cool, I will check it out then. Just let me know!
Very interesting combination of two game styles. Only thing this needs is a high scale resolution and maybe have the r key rotate the blocks.
Awesome work, I like it a lot! It's cool how you have to force yourself to play the tetris game faster to shoot the robots in time. The art and animations are very stylish too, I especially like the losing animation when a robot touches you.
@lynn-young the Mac build is done! Webdev may or may not appear. Thanks for waiting so patiently!
cool
Awesome work I really fun playing it the music is cool the main mechanic brilliant, congratulation !
Excellent, Joshua. I'll check it out this evening when I get home. Thank you!
The shooting twist really makes the Tetris-like gameplay more fun!
It's a cool concept and fairly fun to play. I had a bit of trouble playing it simply because the robots approach quite quickly. But other than that it was fun to play. Good job!
Woah, a game made in rust! Did you use any specific libraries or engine for this?
A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)
@anuke The main library we used was [quicksilver](https://github.com/ryanisaacg/quicksilver), which I didn't really have any prior experience with. It was easy to set up and use, although there are definitely some missing parts and things I would do differently. I'm thinking of trying to make a new library for next time. Rust gamedev is way easier now than it was a few years ago, and not having to write all the lower level graphics code is quite nice for getting things together quickly. You can take a look at our code [here](https://git.chronicembetterment.org/ld42/), although it's *very* messy.
Great! The difficulty curve is a bit steep, but it's probably good for a jam game.
Fun game and I love how it looks. The music is nice too. The game's quite difficult. It took me a while to be able to erase even a single line... or maybe I just suck at tetris lol
''The program can't start because XINPUT1_4.dll is missing from your computer.''
Really liked the idea and art style.
Like others have said, it was hard, it took me all of 5 seconds to die...lol At first I thought I was playing an entry from last LDJAM (combining two genres) :D The graphics are really nice, the music (though loud but you did give a warning) was fun, and the game is easy to grasp which makes it fast to get into. Just wish it was slower at throwing enemies at you.
Few suggestions that would make the experience better for me personally: 1. let me shoot a few times before entering Tetris mode, like an energy meter slowly draining and I can shoot multiple times before it drops or each time I shoot a certain amount is drained 2. a charge shot or something that allows me to kill a cluster of enemies. Sometimes there's a group of them and I wish I could blow them all up before refueling
This has potential with a few tweaks to the gameplay design. :D
