This should come as no surprise, this is a really clever mechanic/idea, and I think you could flesh it out a bit more, but it is already quite good.
Get a really good narrator, some nice and mellow background music, come up with a more "poetic" poem and this will be a really good piece of art. Animations are amazing, don't touch them!
Extra points for creativity, although I wasn't able to see the connection to the theme. Good job! :)
I really liked the idea and the graphics are really nice. Kinda soft locked the game when I jumped on a "dash" slightly under the top part of the word (I dashed against the word and couldn't move afterwards) Still glad I played this! Good Job!

Hey, I really enjoyed the idea for this game and its strongest element: animations! The way the rabbit was disappearing depending on if I touched poison, fire or others was just incredibly beautiful and a joy to behold.
However, the game has some issues, so let me give you the feedback on that: - Collisions on platforms (words). This is the same mistake I made in my first platforming game - you need to make sure that player doesn't get stuck if it jumps on the very corner of collision, from which the only way leads down (can't jump up anymore). This can be prevented by making a little bit smaller collision boxes, adding more verticles to them on corners or other ways - depending on how you want to do it. I really recommend you to do some research on this!
- The voice saying things out loud is fun, but it quickly gets behind - I reach the words before they are being spoken - and it could be better if it played again after I died and got back to the checkpoint.
- My biggest issue involved the innovation of the project - last Ludum Dare had an entry very similar to this which got to a higher place. This could serve as an inspiration, but it would be better if you build on top of that idea instead of just repeating it :)
Overall, a good try, I think the most issues can be fixed pretty easily. Good luck in the jam!
Text platforming!! YESSSS! I have a prototype in my unity document folder in which I tried to implement somewhat similar to this:
[5.png](///raw/31a/91/z/1965e.png)
but it is very difficult with the font and all. I think you found a great font for this kind of game, really good job!!!! I thought the color of the text could give some indication for whether it is dangerous or a boost too.. still, it is a design choice, just my opinion. Also, add some check points if you can, otherwise itd become a bit of a rage game

Had fun with this, there was one section that I think the collider could've confirmed better and if you had more dynamic control of the jump arc, but overall an interesting entry, and a cool concept, hopefully scores well in innovation too!
Loved the idea, but the execution is a bit lacking. But enjoyed it.

I may be badly missing something but there's a part which I just cannot get through. "and jump more pitfalls and dash through [something something] your home to". I always hit the "your" with my head while dashing and fall into oblivion.

@BoltKey It's supposed to stop you from going on, something was wrong here, it's fixed now :)
@xarras I loved ur idea of a poetic game, shows ur artistic side, though doesn't match the theme nevertheless a great idea. As everyone is saying animation are topnotch. Loved them. Would like to see its commercial version. & also please play and rate our game too.

It's a pretty cool idea. I'm not sure if it would get annoying but I would like it if the narration repeats after I die and get moved back.
I really liked this game and the concept. Really nice, clean design. I loved the rabbit animation... well done!
Maybe it's me, but I could not find what words would cause the rabbit's death, but maybe that's the idea. A little polish, sound background audio, and this could be a very nice app.

Unique idea! This game definitely has potential - great animations too. One thing I'd suggest is possibly adding sound effects for each "special" word like "burn" and "dash." Great job!
Super cool idea !! The animations are great !
I just miss an actor voice ;)

Your game is fun and original! This is the first game of the style that I test during this Jam. I imagine, with more time, the game could be super beautiful, with lots of animations. Well, nice work to all 3.
Outstanding animation! The visuals are simply gorgeous. I have poor platform skills, so I couldn't get past the trap after "walls of man." I understand why repeating the voice for each of my attempts to jump through that phrase would ruin the poem. Maybe a little music would encourage me. Maybe I just lack fortitude. This is certainly one of the most beautiful games of the jam.

So much cool stuff in this game, and some not so cool. Actually, i love the concept, quite original and interesting, not sure if the annoying google voice was needed,in my opinion a music would have been better and it would have force us to even more pay attention at the story to not die stupidly (like I did soooo much times ^^) by analyzing each words. Sometimes I though the word would be special and it wasn't (i walked on the word hole). The animation is a good point for the game, really great job and the fact that you produced so many of them is great too. I liked the begin when it start as a poem but i felt the lack of time at the end and I think the joke on portal are not a good thing for the game, totally breaks the 4th wall but not in a good way, but english is not my native language so I may be wrong and just didn't understood the point. In conclusion I really like the game (really ^^) but i felt like it could have been so much better with maybe a shorter but more polished experience. I hope that's a game you will continue :)

It was really fun to walk on words, at the start I was careful about the same words and didn't realize that river, puddle or lake will me make die like water xD (*facepalm*). But really great idea ! The theme is not really inside the game.. The voice is really funny but at the end I was reading loud the words to stay concentrate so don't listen to her insults xD Love you animations of the rabbit and its death ! Even if sometimes collisions are bad (can understand don't worried ! It's stressful.. In game and in programming). Anyway good job !

I really enjoyed your game. It was different and nice :) There is I guess a little bug after the word pitfall where you dash until the word "home" I never could reach "home". And I retried several time I always stop dashing before it and I fall. Dunno if I did something wrong or else but it is a nice little game. well done.
