I really liked this game! The music was very good!
This is an amazing game! It only needs a little more polish - like a menu, a pause menu, and a game over / ending screen from where you can restart. But the music is perfect and the gameplay is smooth! Keep up the good work :)
A very nice game, minimalistic visuals that make you concentrate on the music and gameplay. I wish the transition to the beats part was a little easier, it was difficult to hop right in and not fail that part (or maybe I'm just bad at rhythm games)
@nina Thank you for your suggestion. I will make a menu and "go back to menu" option in next version!
@Sempiternal Sorry about that QAQ You know, the game requires challenge for adding drum in QAQ And I can only listen to it.
This is a good game. I enjoy the music very much, and the mechanics are very simple. It would be nice to include more songs. Great work!
Poetic, loved it ! I losed versus the boss, and we see "You lose" but since we see health bar, it feelt strange for the mood, it isn't necessary haha ; made me feel great and relaxed ; gud music, thanks for this experience and well played !
This sounds fantastic! I tried a similar mechanic for my game and couldn't get it done. Great job!
Your game is super cool! It left me feeling so relaxed, thank you x) Keep with that hard work!
:o everybody owns an xbox controller? I don't :\ isn't any way to play it with a keyboard?
@rombus I will actually add keyboard/mouse control later. But it depends on when I have time QuQ I will definitely let you know when it updates.
DUDE. Your game just got broke. I pressed the 123 keys and they key sounds got pressed. When I restarted, the game was so so slow. But the concept is very cool. Fix these bugs. They are annoying
@Velocity7 Thank you. I will really appreciate it if you can tell me more about this bug. It is the first time I heard about this bug. Which version (HTML or downloaded executable) did you play? So you pushed keys on the XBox controller (or keyboard)? Did you press them together or in sequence? When did you pressed them? I will strive to fix it.
With the webGL version, i also ran into the slow mode. It made the game play around 4 to five times slower, which was a bit annoying. I beat the boss the third try though! i was panicking in my second run (The slow one) and i though i was going to lose, so i was button mashing to see if i was missing something. I happened to quit to menu. I wasn't too happy about that one. For future reference, make the health on the boss stay significantly lower than yours if you're on the way to winning. Even in the run that i won, i thought i lost.
Your game looks great, but I don't have the required controller :/
Died to the boss, how are you meant to beat that?
Awesome! Great music & solid gameplay. I like the mix of the two styles of rhythm gameplay, ie being in the right spot at the right time and hitting the button on the beat. The different colors represnting different instruments & later splitting off on their own was really cool too, even a little emotional! The difficulty curve was a little uneven though, there were hard parts pretty early on. Also the acceleration of the character was a little hard to get used to, especially for the difficult parts. I don't know if there was an issue with my controller, but sometimes the Y axis wouldn't return exactly to the center which was frustrating and caused me to miss a couple notes. I beat the boss on my 2nd try, but just barely - it was pretty frustrating when I lost my first attempt right at the very end, especially when it felt like I only missed a couple notes. Still it was really fun, I would love to see more of this. Great work! :D
Unfortunate about the controller requirement, but thanks for providing a video so we could still experience your game!
Great audio! I really like the style you went with.
@blobo Thank you for your constructive feedback. About the slow mode: I'm sorry that it is a bug. I will fix it soon. About the unexpected quit: you know, it requires pressing two keys at the same time to quit. I thought it was protected enough; while it is not according to your experience. I will find a way to solve this. About the lose-like winning: you found it. Actually it is not a "winning". In this story the main character is doomed to die. But if he tries his best, he can kill the Boss. That's all. Sorry to tell you such a sad story.
@iLoveYourFace There are three things that influence beating the Boss. First, hitting as many as possible blue (Drum) nodes. Second, collecting as many as possible yellow (Guitar) nodes. Third, while fighting against boss, knocking into as many as possible white nodes. If you do good enough in the three parts, you will kill the boss.
@adhesion Thank you very much for your solid review. And thank you for liking this game. Yes, the difficulty curve is a little uneven. It is largely limited by the music composition. The stick on controller need to be in natural position when the game is loaded, because the game does calibration according to the original position. Or, it may be because you were not holding the controller when the game loaded, in which case it will calibrate with 0.
