How many minerals were there? I managed to get 12. Anyway the gameplay is fun but i'm not sure where the theme comes in?

I assume the theme comes in because more enemies spawn when you have more minerals?
Presentation and feel was very nice. Controls were fluid, sound effects and graphics were very juicy. Everything felt overall very satisfying, except that maybe hitboxes were a bit small at times and enemies were a bit spongy. The game world after the tutorial is super expansive! If there was some sort of faster locomotion like a vehicle I would be much more enticed to explore it all. Nonetheless, impressive just how much content is here.
I managed to collect 18 minerals.. Fluid controls. The first time I started fighting them and managed to get 8 only. After that didn't kill a single one and felt like a really cool running dodging game.
A lot of content; not a lot of content variation. It was interesting to encounter the two types of enemies I came across. I assume there were more, but the game was a bit too slow paced for my tastes. Either allow for faster transit to gem locations or make notably different encounters closer by. The world felt very static and thus I did not feel very engaged. I advise adding more content in the way of things happening in the world. Whether I can interact with them or not, right now the world feels very empty and I don't feel very immersed in my character's reason for doing what he/she is doing in it.
Very cool game, one of the few shooters I saw and enjoyed in LD. The graphics are great, good job :)
The enemies look really cool, especially the spider type. I also liked the hitscan approach to this game because the player will get swarmed no matter how much he/she fights back. Someone already noted the dodging-approach to this game, which was the tactic I was going for as well since the enemies had a little bit too much health and accuracy for my taste. Anyway, great entry!
not sure if it was intended or not - I could pick off most of the enemies from far away and they wouldn't react... worked great until the point where enemies started spawning to fast to target with my track ball (not the same speed/precision as a mouse).
had an odd issue that when switching weapons, my character would end up facing up.
I played it twice. The first time i kept my distance and sniped them down but was only able to get 6. In the 2nd try, I decided to not kill anyone and kept running from gem to gem, and got 13 :D
Although the game looks the same every time I restart, I noticed that the level changes with every gem. I wonder if it is hand-designed up to a certain number of gem or if it is procedurally generated with a fixed seed.
I think the game is very fun. The robot designs and animation looks cool and I like the minimalist brutalist design of the scene. Some more polish in the visuals and audio department would be great and would enhance the mood. I also think that making the enemies notice if their friends are killed would make them feel more interactive but will make the game too hard. Overall, great game.
Yes I liked spiders. You've completed a very complete fps gameplay. and graphics is really creative, as well as level design.
suggestions: - targets too small to hit - rpg damage radius too small - enemies should be fear of bullets so I can make a fire suppression. - game mechanics should be tweaked, as the above said, I found the most effective way is to rush to the next crystal and ignore the enemies. You should tweak the game rule to make to player behave as your designed. - No clear game goal. The light beam of each crystal is great, but I don't know why I should collect the crystals, what benefit I can get and when I can win.
Maybe make it a survival game?
Nice solid FPS for a compo! You created a good original atmosphere here. Smooth controls and a brutality that matched the spare environment.
I tried a mix of sniping and run-n-gun, although in the end those buzzing flying guys with the guns got me. Dang they were hard to shoot down in the heat of the moment! I was definitely worried if I got a few on my tail.
The creepy light background soundscape was nice, and the buzz of the fliers blended well to announce their arrival and help me orient.
If I could add one thing it would be to have a little more feedback about when I was hit and when I scored hits on enemies.
Beam was a good navigation tool, critical in such an open space.
Nice entry! I didn't really feel rock-n-roll powerful, almost more a feeling from a horror game where I'm on the run rather than a rocket-fest.
