The game's strongest point is, in my opinion, it's freaky atmosphere ! Great job getting all that fog, tree and spooky sound effects up and running in such little time :) ! Cheers !

Thought this was a slenderman-esque game at first and was waiting for the jumpscare, and then some giant monster ate me D:

neowedge 2017-12-05 01:10

Great atmosphere, but, when I get the third battery, the game was over and I didn't understand why :S. Anyway, good job!

svenfrankson 2017-12-05 12:23

Great atmosphere, nice job ! Can the monster be defeated ?

matcheryt 2017-12-05 12:40

SvenFrankson, not yet but looking forward to it in a upcoming build :)

Good vibe! Nice environmental sounds (although the footsteps were a bit harsh on the ears due to the panning in the sound itself). Your take on the theme was a bit vague though. Would like to play in fullscreen!

The atmopshere (mood) is great, the best I've seen so far, great job for so little time Always love a terror game! Keep the good work and good luck!

nava 2017-12-05 15:36

I agree with the above comments, the atmosphere is what is best about the game. Very fun game!

matcheryt 2017-12-05 16:14

Thank you all for the feedback! I'll use your tips in my future LD entries!

gassasin 2017-12-05 21:41

Nice horror atmosphere, like the sounds! But i didnt find my home:(:D

I fail to see how the theme is included :( Nevertheless, you did a great job for 48h !

oceanosaurus 2017-12-06 16:50

Hey this is a really solid entry for a 48h game! Controls good and feels great. The atmosphere, as said before, is definitely it's strongest point and what kept me playing. It's hard to see, yet I somehow managed to keep pushing forward, I can see there was quite some level design involved in creating the map. Congrats on the game!

viktris 2017-12-06 17:55

I really liked the atmosphere, not sure though how to connect it to the theme.

szekeres-szabolcs 2017-12-06 20:27

Too short but i really enjoyed it

furet 2017-12-07 00:23

Nice mood and nature sounds. I liked how there was just enough light to see the path, and exploring the different campsites. But I didn't care for the sudden, un-fightable giant monster (maybe it's just that I'm not a horror fan). I wished I could use the flashlight as I collected batteries, and that its brightness would increase each time.

jack-maxwell 2017-12-07 13:38

The game had lots of trouble running on WEB GL. Not quite sure how the theme connects to it, but it has fantastic atmosphere, the lighting is especially good!

imod 2017-12-07 19:13

I like graphics and dark environment. Looks good.

brainoid 2017-12-08 10:23

I finished the game without turning on my flashlight, so I don't think the game is aligning with the theme. It does have a good mood and nice sounds. I think since it's a short game, it could use a procedural maze , so it's different each try. Good effort!

honest-dan 2017-12-09 21:35

Good atmosphere, a little bit short but enjoyed playing it on stream! The Good atmospheric sounds too <3

compy14 2017-12-11 19:26

Great ambientation!!!

illabom 2017-12-12 01:37

Nice game you have here. SUPER WELL DONE!

Come check out my game if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected

sylver-kovy 2017-12-12 17:52

The Game has a very Slenderman feel to it. I guess the idea is that since your flashlight can run out. Maybe you could have the flashlight start super bright but in addition to that have no batteries around. Other then that it is well done.

dining-philosopher 2017-12-22 15:29

Impressive looks, but the motion sickness got me already before the monster did. The sound effect halfway was a nice, scary touch :D I also do not see how this is related to the theme though...
