I liked this game. Didn't realise ammo was a limited commodity and wasted it on the first playthrough.

The menu could use some sounds. and a little tutorial would help. Felt a little lost guessing what to do.

kieran-newland 2017-12-04 11:11

The graphics are great. Simple but they work together well.

I'm not keen on the controls. It's a bit awkward to aim and walk in the same direction. I feel like games do better with dual stick controls for this genre.

wskilljoy 2017-12-04 11:17

Nice graphics, but the game was pretty lacking in terms of gameplay. It's difficult to walk and shoot at the same time, and the player doesn't really indicate which direction it's facing. A little music and a tutorial would be cool too. You have a really cool idea, and artistic talent. You should keep working on this.

odrez 2017-12-04 11:19

I kind of liked the mood that was set by the game and it certainly was engaging. The enemy AI could use a bit more waypointing, making them move out of the way more reliably. Not astonishing but nice work!

Also thank you for creating platform-independent games.

rincewind-cz 2017-12-04 11:22

Nice graphics -- it feels little bit like Binding of Isaac. Controls could be just little bit better - for some reason they didn't feel natural to me. And when the music is over, the sounds are gone too. I blame those devils :wink:.

I'm getting an "Error: Invalid or corrupt jarfile" when I try to run it. I also tried to open it as a zip archive using 7-zip and it said it was't an archive.

Java details: java version "1.8.0_151" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_151-b12) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.151-b12, mixed mode)

badly-drawn-rod 2017-12-04 14:16

Simple but effective graphics.

damoy 2017-12-04 18:17

@lawzy93 Yes, I do agree but I needed more time, thanks for playing ! :)

damoy 2017-12-04 18:17

@wskilljoy I do agree, thanks a lot for your feedback ! :)

damoy 2017-12-04 18:19

@odrez Thanks to you for your feedback ! :D

damoy 2017-12-04 18:21

@rincewind-oz Haha, thanks a lot :)

damoy 2017-12-04 18:23

@staircase27 Hello, sorry I forgot to mention it but I think you may don't have Java installed on your computer (or an old version) :/ You can check if you have by writing java -version in a console command, thanks for trying though :)

damoy 2017-12-04 18:23

@badly-drawn-rod Thanks :)

raziyya 2017-12-04 20:00

Nice game. I liked the combination of solving the maze, sneaking past the enemies and aiming your shots.

As others have said, it would have been nice to be able to shoot in a different direction to the one your moving in. But obviously thats something that could be added later.

damoy 2017-12-04 20:28

@raziyya Exactly ! :) Thanks a lot for your feedback !

hatchet 2017-12-04 20:32

The graphics and the style set a nice mood. I had a little bit trouble understand the objective at first, but by walking around that problem went away :) The enemies could perhaps be moving in a more controlled manner, so that you can adapt and avoid them more easily. Perhaps being able to outrun them once you're in their sight would also help. Overall, nice game!

siarhei-rakuts 2017-12-04 20:32

Simple but well executed. I hold the and lost all the ammo in first game :joy:

jani-nykanen 2017-12-04 20:52

Nice visual style. The gameplay was simple, but good.

damoy 2017-12-04 20:54

@hatchet Thanks a lot for your feedback ! I will definitely take it in account for future entries :)

damoy 2017-12-04 20:55

@siarhei-rakuts Aha ! Yeah I understand, thanks for playing :)

damoy 2017-12-04 20:56

@jani-nykanen Inded that is a very simple and short game, thanks for your feedback ! :)

staircase27 2017-12-05 09:44

@Damoy Please see my original post. I already included the java version information. Also an invalid version of java wouldn't stop it being opened by 7-zip.

damoy 2017-12-05 19:07

@staircase27 Hello, your java version seems good. I think the problem comes from 7-zip, could you try to install WinRar and unzip again ? Thanks for trying :) !

logan 2017-12-05 22:31

Hmm, even with your explanation of the theme, I wasn't quite sure how the theme fit. Ah well. It's a pretty basic maze game, but the jittery enemies made it very difficult to aim my precious bullets at them. It was only on the last level that I realized that the enemies actually couldn't cross the obstacles, and that the easiest way to defeat them is to get inside their range on the other side of a wall, so that they'd sit still trying to get at you.

damoy 2017-12-05 23:43

@logan Yeah it does not fully fill the theme at this point.. Did not have the time to do more but I think it may have potential. Thank you for trying ! :)

viktris 2017-12-06 17:24

Neat idea and cool little game overall. What really bummed me out is that some of the "guards" we're really just unavoidable and taking damage was just imminent :( (without shooting that is I wouldve liked a "hard" stealthmode)

thesoreon 2017-12-06 18:08

I very like the graphics and sounds and i appreciate simplicity of game, but you should add some graphic to indicate which direction is player facing. Congratulation for entry!

damoy 2017-12-06 23:24

@viktris Thanks for your feedback !

damoy 2017-12-06 23:25

@thesoreon I do agree ! Thanks for playing :)

staircase27 2017-12-08 10:59

@damoy I have made it work. Apparently for some reason the windows zip extractor is corrupting the jar file when it extracts it from the zip file. Using 7-zip instead produced valid output.

Now I can play it. Nice little game. Aiming bullets was very hard and could have done with a little bit more instructions. Other than that good game.

damoy 2017-12-08 20:50

@staircase27 Thanks a lot for persisting ! Glad' that you resolved your problem :) Thanks again
