Hello @pyrotheflamy, I really want to play your game but It does not include a mac build, I would really appreciate it if you were to include one as the game looks really good.
P.S if you need help making the mac build, if you use unity I could tell you how.

A challenging game because I always need to face the enemy to shoot it. Otherwise, good flow, nice game
thanks
A nice idea, controls were a bit difficult as you cannot move and fire in different directions. Camera could have been pulled back a little bit to remedy this.
Its quite fun to spam the heck out of the space-bar to achieve a mini-gun like attack.
Thanks, everyone! Sure, I'll try to make a Mac build. I'm sure I know how.

I have pretty much the same little issues with the game; I think it'd all be alleviated with the pulled back camera solution mentioned before. That said, I really liked the attack power ups and spamming them, it's really fun!
Thanks! Are you sure it's okay with the LD rules to make a change like that after deadline? I like the character to look smaller onscreen too but I want to follow the rules.

Hmm, that I don't know. Perhaps you could ask them, as it isn't such a big change but I don't know if they'd allow it.
Hard and.. hmm no no just hard ^^ at least i liked it ! gg and take care of the controle !
Pretty challenging game, I agree that the controls and camera could use some work. It would have been easier if I had read the directions lol. Overall not too bad.
Edit: Also the particle effects your bullet makes were kind of confusing with the Accuse and Question things. I didn't get the reference and it made me want to press those buttons but nothing happened.
Honestly, I don't know what to do about the controls.
You could use the arrow keys to control your shot direction and wasd to control your character. Or mouse aim and fire.
Fun, loved the graphics, but the issue being you can only shoot the direction youre facing, which means you cant shoot while backing up. Made it pretty hard
Oh, man. Should have thought of that. Sorry.
The Accuse and Question was a tutorial for the game before I switched it to a shooter. I didn't feel like making yet another texture and taking the time to export it so I just used that. It stuck because I thought it was funny.
No worries, this whole thing is a learning process for all of us. We had a few big bugs, lacked any help text in game or AI. Just keep working on it and fix what you can. :)
Interesting style. I have been seeing a lot of 'shoot the spawning enemies' games but this one takes it a few steps further with more mechanics like the different weapons and trade

That's a big gun right there! hahaha
Nice game. I don't know if it was intentional, but I feel that the ghosts get really fast out of nothing and that makes things really hard :p

I Love spamming the heck out of some ghosts! And the interesting mechanics made it better than the normal shoot stuff game!
Thank you so much!
I think this is the first game I've ever played that has used a billboard describing the game's controls as the primary particle effect. Not sure if that was intended or not, that is what I'm seeing on Windows. In fact it's kinda ingenious because no one can really complain that they don't understand the controls when that is on the screen all the time :P.
As I've said before, those controls are actually obsolete. The game was actually a murder mystery for at first. I just used that texture because I didn't feel like making another image and thought it was funny. I also thought no one would see it but it seems everyone is talking about it. Haha!
@jean Yes, I didn't think of the enemy speed much. And I don't know why they don't always spawn on the Xs.
Good job, I like the movement a lot, though as others have said the aiming is quite difficult. Cool spin on the theme, and the bullets are quite fun to shoot. Also more audio would've been nice to see. I usually just generate my sounds using bfxr and if you're familiar with the tool you can get all your sounds done in <30 min.
Thank you! I was hoping the bullets would be fun to shoot! I highly prioritized that bit of game juice. Yes, I'm familiar with bfxr. Super cool.

Hey, I'd change the controls a little bit. Maybe mouse to shot, also the ghost spawns are aligned. So if I shot straight right, I can kill both ghosts :)
But as overall the game is nice, congratulations for completing it!
Thank you. I have no idea how I'd set up controls like that. Also, I think a change that big would be against the rules.

All right it was challenging but probably mostly because of the controls like others mentioned. Had some fun with it!
Like other said, the camera was too close and too low. Going to the top bit of the map was basically a death sentence because you couldn't see anything below you. Also, I'd recommend either a twin-stick shooter approach to shooting where you can move and shoot in different directions, or at least have eight-directional shooting so you can shoot diagonally. Also, it looks like there was some hit detection in the ghosts so that they don't occupy the same space which is good, but this causes them to go careening off wildly at high speeds when they spawn in the same space. I was killed a few times due to high-velocity ghost spawns and it didn't feel very fair.
In spite of my criticisms, I did have some fun playing this game. It was lighthearted and simple, in a good way. Nice job!
Thank you so much! As I've already said, a camera zoom-out should be fine (and I'll probably get to it) but those other things might be a little too far off the rules. That's just what you get when you're making a mystery solver and you turn it into a shooter last-minute. Again, thanks so much! I'm very glad that that last minute gunshot game feel work was worth it.

nearly being a member of the bald club myself, i enjoyed the theme, graphics, and gameplay. fun game and look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
:D
I enjoyed shooting bullets that leave trail of instructions at ghosts :D :D :D
I like the graphics and the simple style of the game (and of course, consistent art!)
I think you have done a good job, not sure why you want to make an adjustment to your game - it is better than many other entries :)
Why, thank you! I was thinking of making the adjustment because I've gotten the recommendation to do it about 5 times. It's not that bad on its own, though. Man, I never fully realized how small and nice this community is! Definitely something worth engaging in.
Yeah and you are saying that right after I told that poor guy who is completely new to LD jams that he should stop asking and start giving
Anyway, if you feel like you would like to see those recommendations in your game, you should probably do it. But the player is not always right - you are the one who can see your own intentions and reasons. The player is usually the person who would like to make his life in your game a bit easier even if it is not nececssary
Very true.

Hi @pyrotheflamy, I'm glad you powered on and were able to submit a game for the competition. I loved your bullets and their effects. They look great. Shooting is fun. Also, I had no problems with the functionality of the way the shooting works, like some others have mentioned. Didn't even cross my mind as an issue, until I read the comments above. And, the thing about comments is, since I had absolutely no issue with that, I would've never even thought to mention it. The only reason I'm mentioning it now is because I read the comments, and wanted to let you know there are people who had no problems with the shooting functionality. In fact, shooting your gun was more fun than shooting most of the weapons in this competition. That probably stems from the creativity of using left over resources. That's what creativity is - having limited resources, time, and or switching your entire game idea, but finding a way to make it work. Good job.
P.S. I respect your integrity regarding not making enhancements after the competition deadline is over.
@Cubeeo Wow, thank you! I really didn't know I got the gun that good! I thought it would need a bit more to be fun to shoot. This last-day asset recycling story surprises even me. Makes me want to write it down! And now my game's almost at 30 ratings? This is seriously the kindest online community I've ever known. All you people are making me feel real special!!! I'll try to play your game sometime, @Cubeeo !
