Very creative! I love the way the difficulty increases as you heal, very clever! I think it could benefit from some bg music too.

love the healing/darkness mechanic (might want to add epilepsy warning though). The slow down was a nice touch that really helped. Also the balance seemed fine for me. Some suggestions for future iterations would be: add more enemies/visual designs, some kind of upgrade system or more weapons.
Well, I ran clear off the screen, after a bit, and was never able to return... still never died though. The first time, I ran off the screen to top, unable to return. The second game, I got stuck way past the left boundary, unable to return. Is that a bug or a feature?
Cool game! I agree with @mr-matt, this game could use more music. Also, I got a bug that made me shoot up while walking downwards. Overall it's a good game. I just had my first ludum dare, too. Would you mind checking it out?
Great first entry, Keep it up! make more games!
Thanks for all the positive feedback, I ran out of time to make any music and I will add weapons eventually. The Running off screen is a issue with playing it on the browser.
This is a pretty good game! There is a glitch in the game though. Sometimes when moving with the arrow keys, the main character would automatically move in some direction. Also, the game would be better and more functional if it prohibited the character from leaving the screen. Other than that, the game was great. I liked the art in the game. The stick figures were kind of funny. I also liked the blood splatter and the way that the UI moved when the player was low on health.
Pretty good for a first jam. The beginning seemed a bit classic, but when the characters moved in slow motion it started to become interesting. Pretty good idea, but perhaps you can reuse that for a less violent game next time.
hey thanks for making this game!I really like the different enemies (one is faster, one is bigger...) and the special effects =)and endless bullets are always good. I think you should restrict the screen, so you can't get lost if you go to far in one direction.
I managed to run of the side of the screen, but the mass amount of enemies that spawn if you spam heal at the start was very amusing.
These are some new ideas for a top down shooter! I like the darkening level and the lighting effects when you shoot. Variety in enemies even with obviously limited amount of graphic assets. The only thing I find lacking is the sound of the gunshot when you don't actually hit someone. Thanks for the game!
Hey I need some help, am I allowed to update my game before the play/rate game period ends? Thanks for the support.
Nice game you have here. SUPER WELL DONE!
Come check out my game if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected
When the shots started getting wiggly I had to laugh a lot, great innovation!
Cool short game the main mechanic is quite clever and letting the opportunity to the player to heal himself when he wants leading to letting the player tune the difficulty is a cool gameplay choice Tho the game is fun it's not engaging, a background muusic and more signs and feedback would make it great
Very nice, coherent game - the theme of stick figures is great And I didn't expect so many cool ways to increase the difficulty, good job:)
Genius! To gain health at the expense of difficulty is a brilliant idea. (I did something similar in my entry.) When I got my health to about 470, a mass attacked me, the game even froze. :D Really fun, thank you!
I like the stick figure graphics, it reminds me of Fancy Pants except you wield a gun instead of fancy pants :P. I see that you aimed to have audio based on the location the player is at but it made it sound more like the sound was mono with sound coming out of one ear only. :( The blood and empty shells effect was a nice touch. Not sure what happened but towards the end of the round my character got stuck moving downwards and sort of left the screen. :)
