i guess 2 words from me as always, motion sickness, idk why that's happening to me but eey~ nice game, just need to make the cats "look alive", amazing concept btw
A nice art style and good integration of the theme into the game. It wasn't immediately obvious how you perform all of the actions.
Purrfect puns, 10/10 :cat: Only one question: Why can't I pick up or pet my cats? :slight_frown:
@johnbryne We did consider this but fell short to the time limit and IRL stuff :)
Nice art style. I found the actions to be very intuitive, but it was a bit hard to find the bowls at first, i struggled with orientation a bit (partly due to using the web version). Seem to get the theme, because at the fifth doorbell i was like "another one?". Nice work.
Looks good, but I couldn't figure out what to do. I filled the bowls with food an water, placed them around the house and then a cat died... :(
Your game seemes to me very funny ! And good idea, perfecly fits to the theme. Unfortunately I was sick before I could find and open the door :(
I've got a cat myself and I hate that sound they make when they want something from you. You've managed to get that into the game, I get totally stressed out when I hear the sound. The theme is good and I like the graphics. The AI could be improved but a nice game!
Very cute cats. I really like the frantic tone from all the cat sounds and the doorbell going off constantly.I would say that there could have been a little more to do on the gameplay side, but what you had was great and I really liked it. I had a few strange control issues by the way, like the camera would all of a sudden swing to a random angle which made it frustrating at points.
Nice game! Btw, your source code is marked as the HTML5 link.
The game looks really nice overall. Lights? Shaders? The low-poly stuff? I don't know why exactly, but I liked the graphic style a lot. The audio is cool, too, specially the music.
I had the same problem than others had: it's difficult to get the hang on how to play. Finding how to interact with things was hard because it seems that the pointer fails to detect objects from certain distances/angles, and I couldn't understand why were my cats dying after several tries: I put water and food on bowls and opened the door when the bell rang with no avail :(
Seems that there might be a bug where cats can randomly get "stuck" in place and wont move. We will see if we can resolve this issue, as we're not sure what causes this problem.
Nice puns. Somehow my kitties dies even though I gave them food and water. Maybe some mechanice I missed? Music and sounds were also pretty fitting in my opinion. SO good job folks.
As a person who doesn't have strong feelings towards cats, I would happily kill these hungry little ones... oh wait, already did :D
They sure need attention, but maybe not enough, having some visual clue on when the cats have finished their food and water would be nice, but of course, LDjam is just 72h and specially with IRL stuff going on keeps it even harder. The assets are great, the model of the cats is neat and so are the food boxes, the trees outside... just needs a little more time :)
Couldn't figure it out. Tried putting catfood here and there. Is there feedback for feeding them correctly?
The cat noises got really annoying after a while. Also it was pretty hard to figure out what the cats actually wanted. The music and setting was pretty cool though, I felt like I really experienced what being a crazy cat lady is like.
