Those sounds are really annoying.. so sharp. Other than that, nice attempt.

Plays actually pretty nice but the screen is too small and maximizing doesnt seem to change that. Also it's not so clear what upgrade and buy do. A little start menu with some explanation would have helped maybe.
Cool concept, the game is smooth and I liked the sounds too, simple but effective :) Maybe a way to restart the game when it is over could be nice !
@cocapasteque thanks for playing my game, you can restart the game by pressing R.
The idea is interesting. It's like a simplification of how Diablo and other power-up loop with stronger enemies work, I guess.
The "upgrades" doesn't feel more powerful, there's very little indication of how much power you or the enemy has - the "health", if that's it, being a number on a fast-moving enemy doesn't really tell you much. I don't know how much "power" I have through upgrades.
I think improving the feedback could improve the game a lot.
And the controls are really difficult to use, the keys felt like they were all over the place.
Liked the simple graphics and the game mechanics. But yeah, I agree that the keys were a bit off at the beginning before realizing that I was holding my hand like I type, which was obviously not the best way :)
The sounds were a little bit to high pitched for my taste, but after that whats left is a pretty funny short game.
I couldn't really figure out what my upgrades would do but i guess they're always good to have!
Nice, simple and really fun to play. I think the background need to have lower contrast since it is distracting and I could hardly see the text on the upper-left corner. More enemy types would help too. Otherwise, great job :)
I have no idea what the upgrades did. I guess you have to emphasize score more, because I just spent all my score for ammo all the time?
I quite like the concept, but when you are in trouble, you can just play track&field with Q+X to come back to 1hp enemies.
A simple concept well-executed. The audio takes me back to a simpler time for games :joy:
Nice and simple, but the audio is too much for me xD" Such a high tune! And I couldn't really figured out, what my upgrades are doing. But all in all, good job :3
Very interesting design space you've opened up. Normally the upgrade to get better / enemies get harder loop is out of the player's hands, but here it's laid bare, and I like that a lot. Technically, I would have appreciated casting the score to an int and left-aligning it so it was readable. :D But yeah, glad you stuck with it.
The action buttons are a little too spread out. I had to keep looking down to make sure I was hitting the right one. Well made game otherwise.
The sounds are a little too annoying, but the game is fun! Also, the background did not fit the color of the enemies, sometimes it's harder to not see them because they blended with the background. Other than that, the game is pretty fun with a nice abstraction of the theme! Great job!!!
Neat game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0hdEq4T8dE
@jupiter-hadley thanks for playing :)
