Love the art style and animations! Didn't get any sound running on OSX Sierra, assuming the game has sound. Also the player movement would randomly freeze, stopping me from moving, unfortunately this kept me from playing the game longer than a few seconds before I'd have to relaunch it. :\

neat game, it could have used a little bit of background music and maybe a switch toggle sound. I found it hard to feel like I was getting anywhere, maybe if I only had to keep half of the lights off to prevent power from going down (faulty reactor or something and not a battery powered ship :P)
I think as the level goes on it should get progressively harder, I'm saying this because the power drained fast, though it was still an entertaining game to play. Great art style and animations too.
Gameplay wise, I would have loved the ability to scorn or slap someone if they are caught red handed leaving a light on. Something to slow their progression to the next room to make the same mistake.
It probably would have also been quite nice to highlight on the radar which of the rooms are on around the ship. Even better if it showed the drain weight of each room.
A very well rounded game. Great job on this one!
Could not get R to work. Looked interesting. Kinda dissapointed.
The game is so pretty, i like the concept, it's so original, and the art is great, but when i try to turn down the lights sometimes i can't, there's a problem with the r key.
However, very nice entry! :'D
Really great concept and game. My only thoughts would be to show on the mini map which rooms had the lights turned on, and maybe add some sound. Otherwise great work!

Great game! The AI humans walking around the level turning stuff on and off are really cool from a technical perspective. Likewise the minimap is another impressive feature to have in your game. The overall game had a fun concept that fit the theme really well.
Things to improve:
- if you're right up against the light switch and press "r" it doesn't register your press. Once I figured out the appropriate distance it wasn't a problem but it felt pretty broken at first.
- Hard to really do much to have a better score - my record was 153 but I can't really tell what I'd need to do to improve that. Someone else suggested a slap mechanic and also a minimap with the NPCs on it too. Either of those would give more room for a skilled player to excel.
----- Once again, great work with the wandering NPCs :grinning:

Thank you all for the wonderful feedback! I am glad to see that my game is enjoyable despite it's simplicity. I have fixed the issue with the R key not deactivating the lights, so it should work if you run right up against the wall now. It did cross my mind that players might decide to go right up against a wall to interact with the light switch, but I didn't think it would be very plausible until reading all of the great feedback about it (Sorry about that). I would also like to mention that as long as you are less than one tile away from a light switch, you can turn it off.
I am also working on a post jam version of the game, where I will try my best to incorporate as many of the great suggestions you guys have given me as possible (If all goes well, reprimanding crew members for their actions will soon become a possibility). All in all, thank you for the amazing feedback on my game!

Good job for the art, it's impressive for a LudumDare alone! The game is quite simple, but well, it's an idea ;)
I'm impressed you've done it in Java too, good job!

Great concept! My team had the same general idea of turning the lights off, and I thought we were the only ones. In ours the AI did not turn the lights back on tho. This was nicely achieved here, but like mentioned early in the comments the ability to stun those AI units would have been very enjoyable! The mini map was a great idea also! again the comments have the great thought of indicating what rooms have lights on and where the AI are. Also I feel like if there was a way to win that would be cool. It seems a bit strange that the shipmates are bound to run you out of power no matter what you do, but for a game jam it works. The game was not too long. The art was good! the player movement was good. the cross hairs didn't seem necessary. after loosing you could still wander around pointlessly and still turn lights on, even tho the screen said i was out of power, which is not exactly consistent. Props for building your own engine!

Cool little game! Enjoyed the gameplay and simple yet effective art very much. Like said several times already I would've wished for some feedback to know where to go next. Also some progression would fit the game nicely (e.g. start with 1 or 2 crew members and magically more appear as time goes by?).
Haha, I'm surprised I did not die as a red-shirted crew man! Funny concept, good graphics, and fun game play. Congrats for building your own engine! I did not get any sound though.
