A really well made game, it has great pixelart and mechanics. I enjoyed it :D

Extremely atmospheric. I couldn't work out what the spell did though, or now to activate it. Pushing up just made my character jump. I'll come back in a couple of days and take another look

Wow, I absolutely love this game!

The graphics are fantastic, the sounds and the music are awesome and fitting to the game and the gameplay is great. I love the tune when you light an altar, made me dance and jump around the altar while defending against the approaching enemies.

I think the difficulty of the game is very good. It increases slightly over time but never gets too hard. The newly learned spells are very helpful, except for that running thing, I didn't use that. :D

I didn't play the hardcore mode, could you shortly outline what the differences are? Maybe I come back then and play it again.

Three small negative points: - in the 'tutorial' you can't read the small font well - it is annoying to click out of the game, isn't there a way to capture it in the game window? - the bear animations seem glitchy sometimes

Thanks guys ! You can play in fullscreen mode, which avoid the "click out of the window". I agree with the tutorial phase, I ll probably make the text a bit bigger. The bear can glitch sometimes, thats right^^

The concept is for this is really great. The pixel-art and audio are great, and set the mood perfectly for the game. It took me a while to figure out what I was doing but I enjoyed it even when I was confused. Great job here!

I really enjoyed this game. Good graphics and audio with satisfying controls.

You really feel the atmosphere in this game, especially when you are defending the altars. The tempo change in the music and overall look of the scene really brings out the mood. The controls also feel very good and responsive. One thing though that is a bit annoying is the low field of view. It is so easy to take damage from an enemy you did not have time to react to and it feels a bit cheap. But that is just a minor point and overall the gameplay is very fun.

Awesome work!

It was a bit difficult, but fun! The gameplay is interesting, and music and excellent art create an atmosphere. Perhaps, it would be worth giving at the very beginning some time for training, so that players can calmly understand the rules and get used to the mechanics. But the game is still cool! Great job!

Good art and clear design. A couple of notes: - Tutorials are fading too fast - wasn't able to read them all before they disappear - I guess it is a bug - walked to the right end and it seems like I was changing location, but I was killed in darkness.

Very nice art ! Congratulation, this is an awesome entry.

Pretty solid entry. I agree with @owc you need a better way to introduce the gameplay mechanics. Overall awesome entry!

Nice game! good overall feel, art is great, awesome ambience, I liked the learning curve, not to hard neither easy, maybe the only critic is the AI of enemies, there where some times when almos no enemy appeared and the level was completed to easy.

Very nice work! Congratulations!

Argh I keep dying on the second stage. What a trip that was, though! I love the mood set by the lighting, graphics and UI. The game itself is pretty straightforward, but you have some good choices for enemies and mechanics overall. The spell for running seemed mostly useless, and I wasn't really a fan of health not regenerating, but because the game tells me I'm close to finishing, so I guess that means the second stage is the last one? :P

I thought the music was pretty good; very ambient but sets the tone well. The only issue I had with it was that it was too loud in comparison to the sound effects. I would have liked the sfx to be a bit more in the foreground, and have that background music actually be background music. Sound effects were great too.

I couldn't understand how the health worked in this game, particularly with the guys that blew arrows at me. Sometimes when they hit, I lost health, but other times, I didn't lose health until after a couple hits. Another thing is that on the game over screen, it seems the game automatically restarts despite having a "Try again" option, and it's not really the kind of game that should have automatic restarting, as the player needs to be prepared for the coming attacks.

Overall your game has a wonderfully dark mood, and I love the play with the lighting.
