It was a pleasure working with this team. Thank you guys - @ricardo-morastico, @marcio-gastaldello, @camilovr, @beduino - for the great experience! Learned a lot and had so much fun. Having this game finished and published really changed my mindset.
Was fun to play. Too much going on in the beginning though
@soulpixel, thanks for the feedback!
@slueta my tips
I miss a visual direction for the player to aim the target. How Angry birds does. The drag button (cannon base) may be more visible and the game shows it at the beginning, as a quick tutorial, that the base cannon can be dragged.
I enjoy the game, good work man ...
@erick , thank you for your feedback and suggestions! Team is talking about the improvements.
I found the controls to be too cluncky to play correctly, aiming was super hard and jerky =S
I like the concept, it's a neat idea. The controls are a little rough though. It seemed like sometimes some of the missiles would fly a lot further than others even though I thought I launched them exactly the same way. It seems like it was maybe the different missiles had different properties, but there is no indication that I could see what those properties are.
With some work this could be a pretty fun Kongregate game.
Oh, also, going into full screen cuts off a bunch of the screen, like the launch power indicator and stuff.
The idea is interesting, but I don't quite understand the goal. Am I aiming to hit the other side's base? Or destroy the whole world? Why does the game end when it does?
The mechanics feel good, but I just don't understand the win condition.
Hi @ectucker1 . Thanks for playing our game! The goal is to destroy the enemy base. But message here is that there are always collateral damages. The fight between two parties make the whole planet suffer. So if all the types of planet's resources fall under 50% before you destroy your enemy, you lose. If your base is destroyed before you destroy the enemy, you lose too. If you destroy the enemy first, before resources fall under 50%, YOU WIN!! BUT... you will also be informed of the damage on world's resources. :dove:
I was a bit confused about how to play the game and what to do, but maybe it didn't work correctly. When running the game fullscreen in the browser several buttons where outside the screen or overlapped by text.
It was difficult to understand how to play
Nice idea. Hopefully we will never see this game-play in real life.
As Alexand Rum said... It's a bit hard to understand how to play. I did not even understand who I was playing with (as Trump) and which key is the control for which rocket. Maybe you should add this information at the beginning of your game?
However. Nice one... congratulations...
Wow, hard game with hard message. It took me some time to understand the mechanics of the game but is challenging, a multiplayer version could be cool. Parabéns!
Very very cool! Love idea and promo art!!! 5 stars!
Ahahaha, that was really fun and satirical! Loved it! :D
I don't think I have seen a game that has managed to be both funny and depressing at the same time until now. The game controlled really well, and once I had figured out what to do (with the help of the help button) I got into it. I like the design, yet at times it felt a bit too cluttered. The audio was also really cool, how it changed depending on what side you were on. I did feel that sometimes the game felt a bit too random, and rather hard to know where I am aiming, but other than that this was nice little satirical entertainment
you had me at the title screen :D
Thanks for your comment... And today I saw the help button in your game ;-)
Interesting and quite disturbing theme, the mechanics and graphics were good with creepily cheerful background music. One thing that might have been improved was the UI, however, since it did not seem too consistent/easily followable. Also some of the graphics looked strange in proportion (such as the size of the explosions). Overall though great entry and surprisingly entertaining, nice job!
The theme of the game is clear, and it feels horrifying. However I think it needs more feedback to reflect on the experience you want to make (war... war never changes... sorry).
Maybe more feedback on the explosions and launch, make it feel like its really the end of the world, feel the explosion and maybe backgrounds sounds that makes you feel the carnage and the pointless of it all.
Maybe the aiming was too random, I feel that it would have worked better if you made the aiming feel more precise, more cold-heartless calculation, do you can dig the theme deeper.
It was generally good work, congratulations!
Good idea,
I think the controls are a bit hard to take in hands but I really liked the mood as it is really actual. Politic is always some kind of hard to manage but, well you did great, even if I hope third WW is not coming too soon ;) I'd really like to do more games before it happens !
Loved the part, PLAY AS TRUMP and PLAY AS KIM! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Fun game but the controls are a bit hard to get used to at first
Loved the concept, and the scary possibility! Someone said earlier that it manages to be funny and depressing at the same time which is spot on (good job).
Liked the visuals, and audio. At first I found the game difficult but became clear after a little while and once I understand the controls it became a lot more fun.
Good job, had a blast (har...).
I enjoyed this - essentially a scorched earth concept on a little planet with a twist favoring accuracy.
Echoing what others have said, the controls were a little confusing. Even after I read the help button, it took a little bit to figure how the mouse aimed the cannon. I'd recommend standard keyboard controls like left/right arrows to aim and space to fire. Or if sticking with mouse, just a little visual feedback... e.g., a handle where you drag and a little dotted line coming from the cannon indicating how its angle depends on where you've moved the mouse.
I'm not really sure what is happening, it took me a good ten - twenty seconds of clicking, hitting WASD and the arrow keys in vain, to finally hit the ? to see what the controls actually were. Then it was only really after reading the comments that I figured out what the actual aim of the game was.
With a lot of polish, keyboard controls and explanation of controls and aim, this could be a decent political commentary! It was fun once I figured out the above!
I enjoyed the game. Played as Kim and lost, played again as Drumpf and won. The title image is pure gold. It would be good to have and indication how damaged the missile bases are. After leaning the muzzle to one side i did not alter it again in the game. It seemed not necessary. It would be cool if the missiles had more boost and you were able to hit your own station if you aim completely wrong.
I found the turret a bit hard to control, but its an interesting game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLywFLMDPJc
Nice work lads! We also did a very original too, ye mid check it out?
