Corgos are my favorite, so you already sold me on the idea. ;) Love the little corgi models! I also appreciated that the physics seemed to always keep my on the tiny planet, despite the character model walking at all different 3D angles.
The camera did have a bit of a panic attack while I was in the forest, and the tank-y controls were a bit frustrating at times, but overall it was a charming game. :)
Hey guys, congrats on completing the jam! I noticed a few technical issues, like the character's rotation felt a bit off-axis and I think that strafing would be better for the controls, leaving the mouse for rotating the character. Ah, I managed to get up on that huge white cube. I just hugged the wall and kept holding the jump button and Voila!
Despite these things I said, which are common in jams, I think it's an adorable game and a good homage to corgis!
Thanks for the comments :) @coleslaughter and @glimaleite regarding the tank controls, I totally agree and we were originally writing it with strafing and mouse-based camera control, but combined with the spherical world it was just introducing a whole host of problems so I dropped them in favor of the simpler control scheme. But I'm glad you were able to play and enjoy!
First I was like oh no I'm not into platformers anymore, but this one had attractive atmosphere from the start which made me walk around a bit. I have to admit I only found 4 dogs and 45 bones until I quit exploring due to character moving too slow. Rotation is the biggest problem when it comes to precise movements, also lack of going backwards, which is made worse by Y rotation axis not being in the center. I love prince of persia moment with climbing boxes. Dog lines are adorably innocent.
I liked the game as I like almost every platformer but controls need a lot of polishing. Not being able to move back the character and the fact the camera is attached to the character and makes him fall from platforms when you rotate it makes the game harder than it should be. On the bright side this is a promising begining for a good game.
This game is waaaay to cute :3 I wish I knew how to win!
The physics and platforming felt very dodgy, feet would often go through the ground or objects and jumping against a wall would kind of make you float strangely. despite that it wasn't challenging. The dogs were cute and nicely done, but everything else looked very generic. Not being able to walk backwards was annoying. The quit menu didn't work, it opened but I couldn't click the button to quit. Had to force exit. I found 5 dogs, not sure if that was the end of thegame?
I found 6 Corgi's and 45 treats, no idea if there is more to find or not. The controls and physics are pretty iffy, but otherwise, a cute game. Congrats!
The dogs are so adorable :D, controls are a little bit uncalibrated but it still didn't stop me from playing, nice entry ;)
That was very cute. The physics need some work though. I got stuck sliding up the side of the first pillar I tried to jump on. Other than that though I enjoyed it. The corgis had very amusing attitudes :)
The game looks incredible! The gameplay was also quite good although. I was able to get 5 dogs was that all there was to it? Or am I missing something? Overall quite nice though.
An adorable neat game. The "tank-style" third person control is pretty tricky tho. Maybe allow us to turn with mouse?
Thanks for the game! Congrats on the entry. Had some technical issues with FPS and a crash at one point, but really liked the direction the project was taking.
Thanks again :D
I found 6 corgi's! As mentioned above some of the physics feel funny, but overall nice job!
Nice idea, but the execution is kinda lackluster. :(
Especially the controls are REALLY clumsy, and you can just crash into a box and it will put you on top of it, instead of having to jump around.
Very cute design and love the idea! Moving around was tricky though - as I was always sinking into things. It would be great to fix it up and get it polished - I enjoyed finding the Corgis!
would be a fun game if controls were a little tighter! needs music too! would play again!
