i love the graphic, the music and theme, everything works really well
and blood sacrifice...well...its an "ancient technology" alright lol, magic is just science that we don't understand yet xD

anyway very solid entry, and enjoyable story telling game :D

I love the graphics, the music is really good too, it's lame that the sacrifice one pass soo quick.. good litle game, solid entry =)

This is a cool little diversion! Loved the presentation of the little community, the drama of the sacrifice scene, and the unnerving mechanics.

I wasn't sure whether the choice of sacrifice actually played a role. I caused the famine to pass, but I couldn't tell whether that was due to anything I did or not. If I had a suggestion, it would be to add some kind of feedback into the game to help you know what your decision's effects were (besides the obvious). I could see this being pretty compelling if it were fleshed out more, in much the same way "Werewolf" and its ilk are.

How macabre! Deciding who would be sacrificed next was interesting, but did their stats play a role, or were they merely to give us a bias on who to sacrifice? Either way, a short but interesting experience!

Interesting concept.

Great interpretation of the theme, love the graphics and music.

The idea is pretty nice, and I think I got the message, but I would enjoy this a lot more if the decisions had more impact (eg. if you don't kill atheists, they will spread doubt, but if you kill devoted followers, the other followers will become afraid that they will be next).

Nice atmosphere. Good to see i am not the only person who demands blood sacrifices in the game ;)

Really liked the music, and the tone of the game, and I may not have been paying attention on what to do and was quite shocked when I randomly clicked someone only to have them be slaughtered before me. Over all the game was a fun and gave me a good laugh. Nice work.

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description. (you can already find several games from the jam there)

This is was brutal, not much fun of gameplay, but great idea relating the theme!

I feel like it should have been a bit longer in order to let the player establish a strategy. If the choices actually do anything, this would make the choices a bit more interesting and you could've made it about balancing the level of devotion and famine in the community. If they don't, the added length without any change in outcome would help to sell that you're just killing people for no reason. Overall, it's a nice simple entry though.

Also, minor complaint: I found it kind of weird that the sacrificial scene had a whole bunch of people regardless of how many you had left.

I have no idea what this was about but I really, really enjoyed it :D

It took me a while to work out that in fullscreen the WebGL version cut off the descriptions of the villagers. I was just randomly sacrificing people! Interesting idea.
