This game was awesome!! The feeling of being in such a large scale space battle is so cool! I also like how the player is moved to another ship upon death so they don't have to spectate. The controls were a bit confusing for the first game, but by the second and third, I was well used them. Such a cool entry dude, really, fantastic job!

Really really well made game. It feels so majestic and epic.
I love the homing system of shots.
One thing I would suggest is making the ship turn a bit better.
Sometimes when you die and switch to a different plane the camera bugs out a bit but it works again after a while.
Also, at one moment I was controlling 2 planes at once. Not sure if you know about that.
Does what it says, it is a truly massive fast paced space shooter. The battle felt large, and I was just one ship in a fleet of many.
With great visuals backed up by solid audio, I'm surprised this hasn't received more attention.
My one criticism has to be that I found targeting enemies quite difficult, although that's likely down to my inexperience in space shooters. I think I would have appreciated the option of mouse controls.

I like the simple graphics, they look nice, but did not succeed to destroy any opponent I believe :(

Awesome! I def started killing some opponents after I locked onto them. Had some fun little dog fights. Amazing what you guys did in the time! Beautiful, simple, and with great atmosphere!

Nice game mechanics, a truly massive fast paced space shooter like you said.
The graphics are cool and music was nice, it feels like epic when playing. However, I'm not sure what my goal is... (My problem?)
This game was overall great! Keep it up, and good luck on the next LD!

Wow awesome game, i love the neon effect
Pew! Pew! I didn't understand the lock-on in the first game, but the second game was a lot of fun!
Really good...The radar on the ship impressed me. And the controls are good enough for a space fighting. Fells like playing a professional space fighter game. I liked sounds too, it encourages what i playing. Graphics i don't need to tell neon atmosphere tells everything about it :D Also the locking system made this game awesome. Just one thing i can fly through the pyramids i excepted explode while i doing that.
Wow, I really liked the feel of this game. The space atmosphere was spot on and the sounds really matched the science fiction-y theme. I really loved how much everything popped out, it made it really easy to see. The only problem I had was that for some reason my ship would perpetually move to the right. I haven't had that problem with other games and tried rebooting it several times but it kept turning to the right, making it difficult to steer. This problem might be unique to my computer though, really beautiful game nonetheless :)
EPIC EXPRIANCE!
The battle feels and looks very nice. It is amazing how much did you done In the given timeframe. I am missing some UI elements and the map is not very easy to read, but player can use to it in a while. Also the map is kind of empty, I would suggest to add more asteroids.
But overall I enjoyed the game and hope you will continue in the work.
Wow, nice. My only problem was "auto aim" tried to lock to enemies behind me, if those in front of me were moving towards me.
Still, it's a solid arcade game.
Very cool game Liked it a lot but the control was horrendous, and the x-box controller (which is probably the most standart used controller on pc) did not work correctly for some reason!
The game feels like its got a decent foundation as a dog fighting space game. I rather like the atmosphere of it too. The music you selected was a good choice for that.
I will say that playing around with it the controls arent the worst Ive used to fly a plane/ship. But they could do with some improvement or simplification. Like letting you use your mouse or gamepad if you want.
Otherwise its a solid enough foundation. I think you could totally turn it into a full game with some story and setting. Toss in some alternate ships and upgrades and you'd be golden.
Overall not bad. If a bit sparse. But that happens in Jams due to the time limits.
Neon of Ancient was also featured in the second episode of my LD36 showcase series. You can see it here: https://youtu.be/VPEUihSWP7M
Very nice graphics, smooth game. I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/lT_5Gj1NQIo
