Nice puzzler. At first I dragged around randomly because I couldn't understand what a shipshape shape looked like. I think you need a super-easy-basic tutorial intro, like drag one dot onto another empty dot and build up from there. Once I got it it became quite relaxing. Add some music and some other shapes and It's a casual game!

Thanks for the feedback. It was a 5 hour hack, but I quite like to play it myself. I think I'll follow your advices and a intro gif, add music and more shapes. More will follow at http://l1l.dk/shipshapeshift

Nice little game. Good idea. Remind me of the old
board games. Maybe try to put in something like a max counter of turns. Nice job.

You had me at the title! Fortunately I enjoyed playing too. It took a good amount of time to complete each level, although once you understand the pattern you feel like you want an extra challenge. Amazing for 5 hours!

Thanks! I think I will build up the level with capped movements and different constraints.

Nice little game! I like this puzzle mechanic! Easy to grasp, simple, but that can be used to build complex puzzles :)

godsboss 2016-04-28 19:20

Seemed pretty easy. Is it even possible to lose (i.e. get stuck)?

kahrzdn 2016-05-02 09:15

There is always a way out. Just reverse all you moves (if you can remember them).

I played until level 16. I like puzzles, and this one is simple yet interesting, I like the graphic choice and it was fun to play. :)

It's a nice idea (and has a funny title), but it just seems too easy, I keep beating the levels by doing something without much thinking. Also, there are so many level (I've played till 26)!! Are they procedurally generated?

Fun but unfortunately repetitious, maybe could've increased the difficulty curve slightly?

I shifted my ship into shipshape shape many times.

I think the game would be more interesting if there was a challenge mode where you're trying to complete the level with the least possible amount of moves, that would require more thinking. Also a timer and more complex ships could add to the challenge nicely.

Add some shapes and it would make a great mobile game. +++ for the tongue twister name.

I really liked this. The mechanic is very interesting. It's interesting enough that I continued to solve each individual puzzle, but as they went on I continued to try to figure out the basic mechanics behind the concept, in other words, it was a perfectly engaging puzzle game. Unfortunately, once I figured out the mechanics behind it, the puzzle became quite easy. I think that perhaps if instead of switching the rows, you moved circles into that row (and didn't move them if there was overlap), then you could move circles between rows, which would prevent you from doing a line-up-rows, line-up-columns procedure and could lay the groundwork for more engaging and scalar difficulty puzzles.
