What problems with windows version?
I felt like the difficulty ramped up very quickly. I knew what to do for the puzzle in the 4th screenshot but wasn't able to actually do it.
Very cool physics engine!
That was pretty fun and interesting. Nice work!
I'm on a german keyboard, and couldn't change to the [] shapes :/ anyway, nice idea
The left and right arrow keys move the ball in the opposite direction. Fun though!
Yeah, the difficulty ramp is a bit harsh, if I was making a regular game, I'd have a much less steep ramp, but I only had time for 10 levels, and didn't want to just give them away :)
Well, I've released a version with the bugs mentioned here fixed: Windows Version should download, I've added a second set of keybinds for the non-QWERTYs of the world, and I fixed the left/right swap. Thanks for comments.
Good idea and technical solution! Found it too difficult and the game-mechanics were not very clear to me... somehow got to the level with the tight gap on the floor, but couldnt get passed.
Liker others, I could not do the one in the fourth screenshot. The controls aren't suited ot quick shifting and I had to do some real finger gymnastics. I only have two hands, but the controls are in 3 places on the keyboard!
It's neat idea though. Tighten up the controls and lower the difficulty curve and you could be on to something.
For people having trouble with Stage 4 (the fourth screenshot): Try sledding down the slope while compressing and pushing right. In addition to the torque from hitting the keys there is a small force component in that direction as well (because it felt really annoying without any air control at all).
I got past the fourth screenshot, but by the time I got to the one with the rainbow block I couldn't deal with it any more. It's not obvious what the rules are for breaking blocks, it seems pretty random (but triangles and squares break things more easily). The one where you have roll up the hill and then drop onto the breaking one took more tries than it should have because of this. Several times I got all the way up and then didn't do any damage when I fell as a triangle. I did like the challenge of getting up the hill though, it felt almost like a Trials game (which is a genre I really like)
It's a decent idea but the game is a bit tough and it's hard to progress through some of the levels. Anyway, good work!
Great concept. I had a lot of trouble sliding under the tight space as the square but still great!
Great use of the theme, and a very interesting game. If you could find ways to make controlling the physics a little more accessible, I could see this expanded into a larger game with lots of really unique and interesting levels.
Really creative use of the theme! Well done!
Some of the puzzles were a little fiddly, but balance is a hard thing to get right under the time pressure of Ludum Dare - this is pretty good fun!
This game had been on my to-play list for awhile. I'm glad I finally got to it. I did beat it as well.
You did a fair job. Some more explanation, obviously.
And you need to polish the physics more. I mean, you couldn't even jump if you were standing on an object.
But neat physics puzzler. reminds me of the classic flash games I used to play.
