beautiful for a jam game. Game play is a little bit simplistic but a great jam game non the less.

marksmith93 2015-08-25 00:02

Loved the art and the animation. The way the missiles behaved was a little strange in how they start inside the mech and launch backwards then forwards and it seemed like they would only fire in one direction unless locked on. Aiming where ever I wanted would have been nice. I liked the music and the sound effects were pretty good too.

katekmail 2015-08-25 03:20

This is super ambitious and looks great!

juaxix 2015-08-25 09:56

@gigaraptor : thanks, i agree with the gameplay, I wanted to add buildings, people, more attacks for the robot, air strike, fire storms and so on, but, i could not ^_^

@mark smith: the missiles launch using a spline, it was hard to make them, cause the control points can mess up the final path trajectory but the target remains, thanks !

@lady beardo: you are a great lady and i love your game! ;)

cbstegeman 2015-08-26 00:03

The mech moved too slow and the missiles behaved strangely -- but I agree with the others, the mech and spider graphics are cool!

juaxix 2015-08-26 17:04

@cbstegeman : A common error in game design is almost, everytime, that certain game mechanic (if not all of them) is so slow, but in this case, the spider must move slow because it is so powerful!

mintarcade 2015-08-26 22:57

Very nice. I like it. Spiders are really cool

chaoscult 2015-08-27 08:02

The real monster here is a pace at which your robot moves :) Like others said, nice graphics (even if a bit glitchy at times), but I can't say much good about gameplay. As for the theme... Were you channeling Ender's Game here? I don't think it works here. We don't even know if these spiders are sentient. I can't feel any remorse about destroying them, and that means I can't see my robot as a monster.

jk5000 2015-08-27 08:10

Great idea, but a little buggy.

peterkirk 2015-08-27 09:06

I loved the character animations. I wish the movement speed could have been a bit quicker and more control with the rockets.

juaxix 2015-08-27 15:34

@mintarcade: thanks bro =)
@chaoscult : it's not ender game or such thing XD ,this is a robot monster that handle a whole spider race in this planet
@jk5000 : yeah, one person alone to do all :)
@peterkirk: maybe you are right i'll think about it thanks

superpatch 2015-08-27 18:58

I liked the graphics and I had fun killing spiders, maybe a bit ripetitive. Good entry though. :)

grabengroup 2015-08-28 02:34

the movemant seems a little bit to slow for my taste, but i really liked the animation.

juaxix 2015-08-29 16:30

@superpatch yes,it's boring, i was alone to make this entry, can you give me more ideas to create a better gameplay?, like ,mechanics, features...?

@AwesomeAlliterationAlliance thanks, I think people loves my animations the most of my games ^^

leaden 2015-08-30 11:45

For me it looks like combination of packs from Unity Asset Store. Quality of gameplay and enviroment can't match with quality of spider mech. It looks like made by different people.

nowandstudios 2015-08-30 11:46

I think that mech need a button for run and missile animation looks weird. Overall we have a very good seed here. Keep on it!

slashee-the-cow 2015-08-30 11:52

Graphics and sound are amazing. At first I thought the aiming was broken though, since wherever I was facing/looking at, the rockets always went the same way (and too high to hit the enemies). Then I got close to them (which took a while, since all all the enemies did was run to one corner of the map) and I saw a lock on crosshair appear on them.

Ohhhhhh, that explains it.

So I stayed around for a while getting close enough to blast the bad guys, then blasting them. Then that got a boring. I guess that's where it's not finished (don't worry, not having enough time to finish is something I understand really well). Great job on what's there though.

kaiseangames 2015-08-30 12:03

Very nice leg movement. Well done!

juaxix 2015-08-30 16:09

@Yaroslav Kravtsov: yeah, the environment is a mix between 2 artists, me and the guy from Final IK plugin (the other plugin is Exploder, the rest is all mine). It's funny because your entry is all about environment, maybe you are a little upset about that...but it's a legal JAM entry you know...anyway, tell me things about how to improve the gameplay, not just complain about it, thanks. I'll add a comment in your entry doing the same, thanks for your comment.

@NoWandStudios: absolutly right!, as i said, the missile movement is a prototype of spline animation, just need some tweaks :D ty!!

@Slashee the Cow: yes ^^ . the enemies movement uses a flock algorithm ,as it is a random thing, maybe the start you got was with far away spiders :O But hey, thanks for being so supportive ^^ you are really nice person

@KaiseanGames : thanks to FinalIK plugin guy and some changes in my side :)

perecil 2015-09-01 07:26

Nice little game. I loved the mech design.

superfreak 2015-09-01 07:57

There was somthing odly satisfying about the gameplay. Whilst the art-style wasnt to my personal taste it was well done with great cohesion and impressive amounts of detail for a jam entry. Ambitious entry for a jam that managed to pull it off and be a great deal of fun!

voidstar33 2015-09-02 20:15

Nice art. liked the mech and spider animations and the black twister. The mech movement could be fast, to have a good pace to the game. and it would be fun if the mech had a jet pack and could fly. It was like almost standing still and firing rockets(that come from behind) in random directions.

juaxix 2015-09-04 09:53

Thanks @Math, @superfreak and @voidstar33

beavlgames 2015-09-05 22:02

Really like the lavalantulas' design! As others have stated, gameplay maybe seems a bit simplistic, but solid entry nonetheless. Great work!
