Love the concept of learning by yourself, eventhough the gameplay gets a bit repetitive, but you really get a feeling of progression out of it.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD32 → Knowledge is the Key

At first I didn't understand what I should do. After the first fight (where I had to guess how the fight mechanics works, because I was moved first by an instinct of fighting the bat, not avoid it), I understood what was the gotcha of the game. Past the last 10 minutes doing this. Cool idea @Juin! Great job =D
Interesting idea and nice lighting. Nice knowledge system, but I guessed all ultra letters manually. :P
Good game. i liked :)
Thanks for sharing.
Nice idea :) I found the knowledge tab to be less effective due to the 1/26 chance to guess the ultra effective letter (then you just have to remember it)
I've thought about making it random or impossible until the game tells you which letter is the correct one. But since the weapon was knowledge i found it fitting that you could get an advantage by trying out the letters(gaining knowledge irl).
Good game. Love the fact, that you as a player learn the knowledge 'how to fight' directly.
Some ideas for improvement:
Clicking on the small letters was a bit tiresome. Playing just by keyboard and using the keys itself would have been fun.
Feels a bit static with the enemies just standing where they are.
My fingers hurt from repeatedly pressing WASD :(
Love the letter attack idea. Love the knowledge mechanic. Good Job!
Nice game. I would've loved to be able to use the keyboard keys instead of the mouse. It turns into a memory game, but there still seems to be some internal logic to which letters are *ULTRA EFFECTIVE* :)
The game works in Wine on Linux by the way (otherwise I couldn't play it)
Nice concept, could be bit harder and more about memory. I have one big recommendation - it's very uncomfortable to control by both mouse and arrows, it would have been better, if you added clickable arrows, or even better, if I could select letter directly from keyboard, that would feel very naturally.
It's a neat idea. The mood is great. Respawn to the very begining is a bit too punishing. Pikes and lasers are hard. I feel that using a sub-optimal key was not rewarding enough in knowledge but it was fun. Keep up the good work!
Nice game and concept. This is like memory + rogue like placed together. awesome! :) With more work on the graphics this could be even better.
You heard me.
