Does it end?

s0larcode 2012-08-27 16:43

After a certain amount of time, yes.

zelen3d 2012-08-30 01:40

At some point it just ends and I don't know why. I have totally no idea what I am doing or how it works, but it is fun.

conflictivelabs 2012-08-30 01:52

I have no idea what i'm doing, but i'm having fun!

heuermh 2012-08-30 03:08

Fun.

Had to restart a few times since the red team starting kicking my butt before I figured out what to do.

Though as far as I could tell you need to Ctrl-C to kill the window; you might want to add a window close listener or map some key commands to quit.

s0larcode 2012-08-30 03:44

That's weird, It works fine on my computer. Are you on a mac?

cthulhu 2012-08-30 03:46

I cannot rate your game because it keeps on crashing :(
I'm using linux.

cthulhu 2012-08-30 03:47

But it looks to be a bright idea!

s0larcode 2012-08-30 03:59

Does it crash because of memory usage or errors, or does it not start at all?

jovoc 2012-08-30 04:33

Doesn't run for me (OS/X). I just get a blank window with a com.solarcode.game menubar.

timtipgames 2012-08-30 06:50

I really liked this, plays very intuitively (which you can tell, when a game has comments like "I don't know what I am doing, but I am having fun" :) Unfortunately it is enough just to capture more tiles by clicking very fast on the borders of your captured territory. So I won the game before I had actually realized the rule that you need 1-2 neighbours for a cell to survive. I played it again afterwards but didn't feel like planning more made me play better :) Anyway: Good job!

evilseanbot 2012-08-30 06:51

The game wont respond to my clicking on any of the tiles. Did I miss something?

gidaio 2012-08-30 17:00

Interesting, but a little too easy - I was able to just click randomly and get it to work. I'm a fan of Conway's Game of Life, and this seemed similar. By the end, I had around 145 points and the AI only had 100-120 (I forget).

ramoncb 2012-08-30 23:44

I didn't understand much, but was very fun! I survived the natural selection more than one time! xD
I just think was maybe too easy, I think I was more fast than the IA, I don't know but, perhaps if the game have some way to make the player get the cells more slowly will be good? Sorry my bad english ^^'

cobrajs 2012-08-31 01:28

Very interesting, and pretty fun once you figure it out. If you're very fast, it's not that hard to beat the CPU.

moops 2012-09-01 23:51

Game of life meets go. Once I "got it" it was very fun.

drabiter 2012-09-11 13:32

Game works well here, just the AI is so great :D
